Discussing House Majority Leader Eric Cantors surprising primary loss, on Fridays Washington Week on PBS, John Harwood, chief Washington correspondent for CNBC, a regular on NBC and MSNBC, and a political writer for the New York Times, blamed hostility to Jews in Cantors very rural conservative southern district.
Eric Cantor is a Jewish Republican. This is a very rural conservative southern district where that is not a -- you dont have a lot of Jewish members of Congress from the South.
Host Gwen Ifill, hardly a conservative, jumped in to counter Harwoods presumption: Oh, but hes been elected several times from this district.
Commentators on Fox were also rushing to explain it, “It wasn’t immigration. Certainly NOT immigration.”
When it was... immigration.
Pro-amnesty = death of Republican party = death of this country. All of America will look like Detroit in 30 years.
Pff. I didn’t even know he was Jewish till after he lost.
Must be behind the times here, as I had no idea he was Jewish.
If that’s the excuse they’re going with, then it’s just another reason to NOT trust the Boehner Status-Quo GOP.
BWAH! Conservatives are already racists and homophobes; might as well just add anti-semitic to the list. The libs are pitiful in their ignorance of who we are.
Shumer is doomed.....
Electing someone to state office repeatedly, and then Congress for 6 times, and then voting him out on the 7th because he is a Jew, is an old anti-Jew tradition.
But yet he was elected several times, 6 I believe. Before that he was a member of the Virginia House of Delegates from the 73rd district for like 10 years or so. I guess they finally realized he was Jewish. OMG
Even Gwen Ifill, the host, said that theory of right wing Jew Haters was bunk. Remember Gwen? In the closing weeks of the 2008 campaign, certain magazine and book publishers had begun printing up favorable biographies on Obama as the first Black President, they were that sure he would be elected. Gwen was one of the moderators on a Presidential Candidate Debate. Many in the GOP campaign said there was no way Gwen Ifill should be sitting as a debate moderator after she had released this coffee table tribute book to honor Obama. But of course McCain told all objectors to ‘stop the hate’ and play nice. We see how that worked out.
I can’t decide if these people are stupid or delusional.

I knew that was coming, bastards.
“Host Gwen Ifill, hardly a consrvative, jumped in to counter Harwoods presumption: ‘Oh, but hes been elected several times from this district.’”
When an idiot like Ifill has to force feed to Harwood the logic that, if these Southern hayseeds are so anti-Jewish, why did they elect the weasel 7 times before throwing him out, then you have to know Harwood is not exactly a critical thinker. But, then, the article says that Harwood is "a regular on NBC and MSNBC, and a political writer for the New York Times," so mystery solved.
“Anti-Semitism”Creatively Applied by The LEFT???
For an insight as to how Conservative Southerners view Jews in politics, remember that the number three man in the Confederate Government was Judah P. Benjamin, who had been a Jewish Senator from Louisiana. He was one of the two Jewish Senators at the time of secession, both from the Old South.
The South from Jefferson's time, at least, on, was always the most tolerant region of the United States.
Those who hate traditional Conservative values, have long projected their own intolerance to Conservatives. But for anyone to truly believe their lies, one must be delusional.
For what is really involved in the constant efforts to smear the South, see Creating Hate In America Today.

Neither did I.
.
Hey, dickweed, didn’t even know he was Jewish.
Sounds like Big John is worried about the Jewish vote.
Needs to drum up a little hatred to keep the Jews on the Dem Plantation.
Then the left’s bigotry must be why they try their darndest to run anyone except a white heterosexual (normal) male. They think their “paint by numbers” candidates must be untouchable.
They’re not ignorant-this is the continuation of demonising the right, whites, Christians, by use of blatant lies which are never countered in the media.
