Aside from attacks on the Second Amendment, there is a certain theme that’s now repeated after every massacre committed by an unhinged individual: that most all mass killers are white. After the recent Elliot Rodger murders, for instance, Michael Moore said that he no longer had “anything to say” before immediately saying, “Nearly all of our mass shootings are by angry or disturbed white males.” Not to be one-upped in the inanity department by a mass of male whiteness, one Brittney Cooper at Salon wrote, “How many times must troubled young white men engage in these terroristic acts that make public space unsafe for everyone before we admit that white male privilege kills?” Ironically, Cooper had mentioned, parenthetically, that “as many commenters have pointed out, [Rodger] had a white father and mother of Asian descent,” but, hey, you can’t let a minor detail get in the way of a good racial screed. And perhaps mass killing is such a Caucasian domain that perpetrating one bestows a person with honorary whiteness. Yet about this we should ask a question:
Before rushing to play pin the tale on the honkey, did anyone bother to check the history of mass killings?
Because I have — a comprehensive list dating from 1982 through 9/16/2013 is found at Mother Jones here — and guess what?
Of the last 20 mass killings of that period, 9 were perpetrated by non-whites.
That would be 45 percent, which exceeds non-whites’ 37 percent share of the population.

Because how many non-whites are involved in the non-mass shootings every weekend (and weekday) in Chicago, Miami, Oakland, etc. ....?
White men are still a large demographic between the ages of 18-100 so the per capita rate is not that high or out of proportion. A child can’t exactly commit a mass murder and are disproportionately minority relative to older people being disproportionately white. Adult men are the main perps of violence.
Is the shooting at the El Al counter in CA in there? I didn’t see it.

I’ve noticed a lot of mass murders in the news.
I have to wonder, is the rate of mass murder really increasing? Or is the rate of reporting of mass murder increasing?

I think this is germane. For the time being the FBI is still allowed to show individual crime by race. Their Table 43 data of actual arrests by type of crime and race here for example is 2012.
Murder and non-negligent manslaughter show slightly more blacks arrested than whites.. Never mind that whites outnumber blacks by six to nine times depending upon how to count whites. So to be comparable shouldn't the black arrests be 1/6 or 1/9 of the number of white arrests?
The truth is that if we don’t want to be “cowards” on race, as Eric “the Red” Holder said Americans were, we do need to speak frankly about criminality in the US.
But if it involves white / black interracial crime forgeta 'bout it. The Dept of Just Us since 2008 no longer releases that kind of data (Crimes of violence), Table 42 in DoJ National Crime Victimization Survey (NCVS) -- emphasis on survey. This was a survey of around 70,000 people from which data for the whole population are extrapolated.
Hispanics are classified as Hispanic when they are victims, but as white when they are perps.
I guess Asians are too, now.

The employees of the MSM like MSNBC or Slate don't have to tell the pro-government extremists to inflict pain and suffering on the "haves" and take back the "stolen" goods. The pro-government extremists cheered on by the White House, the Congress, the MSM, academia to get even gladly do the bidding of the Obama government, the MSM, academia . . . .
