WTF is this? It must have been a joke, but still it’s a very strange joke for a U.S. Senator to be telling on the campaign trail.
I think that the heavy workload and passage of time has gotten to Thad Cochran and that he needs to return to his estate and get some rest. It’s a very sad ending to an otherwise distinguished career. I think he’s a good man who’s served with honor but failed to see that it was time to step aside and let someone else take up the good fight. If only he had left office voluntarily.

Whether or not this was a stupid joke, Alzheimers or just a bonehead ‘duh’, the GOP now is in the position of defending a man that made the comment.
No one out there even cares which is true. So if, in this tightly contested election, they side with TC, what does that say for their sense of judgement?

One way of looking at this is that Cochran's creepy remark is even better for us conservatives than the (timely) photos of the thousands of illegals crammed together in holding buildings that came out just days before the Cantor/Brat primary.
