He knows he's done for. He just wanted to make it official.

I think the man has lost his mind.

I take this as sarcasm. Hitting back at a perceived accusation that he’s too “backwards” or something.
That’s the least of his headaches. It’s honorable to be a humble redneck. Rednecks built America. Jesus was born a redneck. And they did their thing without molesting animals, either.

In his recent photos he looks demented. I think Alzheimer’s has him. Weak is bad enough, but comments like that are deranged.

Remember when the Senate was not real interested in Clinton’s women issues? This is why.

Is this real? Time for pervert to resign.
To: ConservativeMan55
In context it appears he was being facetious. And that’s okay — or rather, it WOULD be if every word spoken by a conservative wasn’t immediately parsed and twisted to be something racist, homophobic or misogynistic.

WTF is this? It must have been a joke, but still it’s a very strange joke for a U.S. Senator to be telling on the campaign trail.
I think that the heavy workload and passage of time has gotten to Thad Cochran and that he needs to return to his estate and get some rest. It’s a very sad ending to an otherwise distinguished career. I think he’s a good man who’s served with honor but failed to see that it was time to step aside and let someone else take up the good fight. If only he had left office voluntarily.
