Vanity - Mike Gallagher's Pro-Lindsey Graham Rant
6/11/14 | dagogo redux

Posted on 06/11/2014 12:51:38 PM PDT by dagogo redux

On other threads recently, the faux-conservative bone fides of Hugh Hewitt and Michael Medved have been sharply questioned in light of recent events. I'm wondering whether Mike Gallagher needs to be added to that list.

I can pick up three "Conservative Talk Radio" stations on my way to and from work, but I seldom listen to one of them because it features lightweights. My wife borrowed my truck yesterday, and must have been playing with the dials, because it was tuned to that third station when I got in this morning.

Some guy - I couldn't place him at first, but recognized his voice - was going on an incredibly livid rant about "fellow conservatives" who did not support Lindsey Graham, and who were unhappy that he won the primary. On and on and on he went about how conservative Graham was, and what a great man he was and such, and how much we needed him specifically in that Senate seat.

The gist of his argument seemed to be that these elections are all about whether our team - the Republicans - can win seats or not, and not whether a candidate who wins is a conservative, as long as they are somehow conservative "enough," which of course he thinks the esteemed Mr. Graham is. I listened to the end to find out who the host was: it was Mike Gallagher.

Mark Levin for one.

Among the radio talk show hosts, who do you think are the *real* conservatives?

Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Mark Levin, Michael Savage, Glenn Beck, Laura Ingraham, for starters, are all conservatives of varying stripes. They're all anti-Establishment conservatives.

So she’s not conservative because she didn’t want to give Obama another 4 years to wreck the country?

Do you think Romney would have traded 5 terrorists for one deserter; and had a flood of illegal immigrant children in our country?

At the point she encouraged voting for Romney, it was him or the Evil One who is destroying our country.

When you find me one thing on Mitt Romney’s record to make someone believe he would be different from Barry, post it.

One.

In 4 years, no one has found it.

Laura went from telling her audience, as did almost all the radio guys that Romney was bad. then one day none of that mattered. If you do not see an issue there concerning trust, it is not my problem.

Gag me!

You think that the establishment willingly pays these shills millions of dollars a year to destroy their picnic?

Get real.

I mostly agree, but a few still seem worthwhile.

First, I’m giving the Shapiro guy the benefit of the doubt for now.

Second, I have growing respect for Mark Levin: I have learned a great deal from him and his books, and he has been in the political trenches himself in the past, and he continues to take an active role in legal cases and political battles. It’s interesting that I don’t like him at all as an entertainer, nor as person I’d like to get to know, but I respect what he’s doing in the battle.

I agree with the theory that the Powers That Be secretly want these guys left alone as a relief valve for an increasingly agitated segment of the population. This theory has long made sense to me, and I wonder if those guys actually know or suspect that.

People just need to just listen with Reagan’s adage. Trust but verify. If they say something RINO, ignore/oppose it depending. If they educate honestly, fine. If they lie, call them on it.

but never ever join cults of personality.

Oh and they are fully in on it. they don’t suspect anything. It is how the game is played. In many businesses.

Hewitt, Medved and Gallagher are all part of the Salem Radio Network (RINO Radio).

Today Medved was gloating over Lindsey Graham defeating his tea party challengers, stating that Lindsey Graham is his favorite Senator.

My biggest issue with Mike Gallagher is that he spends waaaaaayy too much time talking about himself, his parts in community and off-off-off Broadway dinner theater (it seems), his aches and pains, etc. And anybody who spends that much effort telling me how humble he is - isn’t.

My favorite talk show is Howie Carr. I find his show the most entertaining and funny, and he is an extreme conservative just like Romney -lol.

What I like about Carr is that he allows a lot of audience feedback by taking calls and texts. He doesn’t pontificate and get long-winded like certain famous hosts.

If you liked Neal Boortz, you will like Howie Carr even better. He tells it like it is like Boortz, but not as libertarian.

Mudhead was apoplectic today that a fake conservative got skewered. I think Mudhead has a mental problem, his reasoning is dysfunctional.

Neal "the Boor" Boortz advised Bush to concede to Gore because it would earn him enough good will to win in 2004. Boortz is a maroon.

Medved is simply reverting back to his leftist roots.

When he was in college Medved was a leader in the antiwar movement. After he graduated he went to work as a Congressional aide. And the Congressman he chose to work for was Red Ron Dellums, the most leftwing member in the House. A friend to Castro and his clones in the Caribbean.

Medved can posture as a conservative all he wants. But you just have to look at who he was to see where his instincts lie.

I think that Republicans having control of the House and Senate is more important than “losing with honor.”

Would you rather *lose* the election?

"Winning" the election with candidates like Boner, Cantor, Linda Graham, McLame, Cornan etc. IS losing the election.

So you’d rather have Democrats instead, if it means giving up control of Congress?
