Sniff! With the stunning Eric Cantor congressional primary loss yesterday, the Republicans are now less willing to "compromise" on such programs as immigration "reform" and other Democrat inspired legislation according to Dana Bash of CNN who thinks that's sad. So sad.
Bash dropped even the slight pretense of non-bias this morning during a CNN New Day report on Cantor's historic loss. She declared it "sad" that the election result now makes it unlikely for Republicans to act like Democrats. Break out the violins and play an appropriately mournful tune as Bash indulges her sadness:

I hope she is correct. No compromise.
I thought they were splitsville?
Saw that this morning. Blecch!
Hey Dana..suck a lemon
Shame that Obama and other Progressives won’t compromise.
Shame they BREAK THE LAW when they fight to the bitter end.
When your instinct tells you to compromise, there is no core principle which you will not agree to bargain away. Democrats never stop trying to advance their agenda. If republicans are always willing to meet in the middle, the line moves ever leftward.
A vote for the GOPe is a vote for democrat policy.
Whys is “compromise” always a one way street with the Rats? When was the last time they compromised on anything?
if sad means awesome, then yes.
Like the democrats compromised on anything.
This might cost Republicans the Hispanic vote! And being for amnesty would have gained them that vote? Not!
Here, the Titanic is sinking and everybody's running around screaming about the stowaways on board.
The Tea Party and every right-thinking American needs to get focused on the BIG problem: the "silent" coup d'etat of our free constitutional republic by the unconstitutional $4 trillion federal government and the usurpation of the Constitution by the dangerous and traitorous power gathering dictatorship of Barak Obama.
Why is no one talking about this? Is it because no one ELSE is talking about it? Or is because the Left still subtly controls the "talking points" because they run most of the news broadcasts and newspapers?
Who on the Right is going to QUIT PLAYING POLITICAL RING AROUND THE ROSY and start talking about the ONE THING the Left doesn't want to hear talked about: the salvation of America by cutting government by 80% (=$800 billion, still too big but it's a start) and taking down the would be dictator in the White House.
What the Democrat really means is George Soros now has to buy another pet RINO to polish off this country ,before we all possibly wake up.
would somebody please post Dana’s address on all appropriate web sites so that illegals will have a place to stay...
Have you ever noticed that Democrats are NEVER expected to compromise with Republicans? This shows that the Democrat media expected Cantor to cave, as Republicans always do.
Decades and decades of compromise has brought this country to
the verge of collapse, Mr. King.
The media idea of what constitutes “compromise” is very odd.
The extremist “liberal reform” position on immigration is presumably to let anybody and everybody in, while putting them on the short path to citizenship and voting.
I would contend the extremist “conservative reform” position on the issue would be to have a massive manhunt and deport all illegal aliens, then provide true border security and jail anyone who hired illegals.
A 50/50 compromise would then be to leave things as they are now, little attempt to secure borders, no real prosecution of those who hire illegals, no attempt at all to track down and deport “non-criminal” illegals.
But for the media, the actual compromise position is viewed as the extremist right position, and “compromise” and reform consists only of movement from there towards the liberal position.
Let’s keep it in perspective. Democrats, like the good communists they are, NEVER compromise.
I'n thinking the word she was looking for was "capitulate", not "compromise".
