Amazing. Opinioneers in the Republicrat party expect Republicans to accept every democrat agenda item seriously and work to temper their zeal to act. It is a perfectly reasonable position to resist any objectionable initiative.

When your instinct tells you to compromise, there is no core principle which you will not agree to bargain away. Democrats never stop trying to advance their agenda. If republicans are always willing to meet in the middle, the line moves ever leftward.
