Mississippi candidate for U.S. Senate Chris McDaniel talked specifically and openly about issues in this interview with TPNNs Tim Constantine on The Capitol Hill Show (listen below).
McDaniel, a constitutional conservative and Tea Party-backed candidate, is fresh off his narrow, yet amazing victory, forcing a run-off election on June 24 against 76-year-old incumbent Thad Cochran, who was first elected to the U.S. Senate in 1976 after serving six years in the House.
Cochran, considered a big government Republican who has been referred to as the Republican Pork King for his adherence to pork-barrel and deficit spending, faces an uphill climb as McDaniel seems to have all of the momentum in the race despite Cochrans support from the GOP establishment, including the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC).
McDaniel narrowly defeated Cochran, 49.5% to 49.0% (155,040 to 153,654), with neither reaching the necessary 50% plus one vote necessary to avoid a run-off.
People in this state are ready for change, McDaniel said to Tim, referring to Cochrans track record. They know that Senator Cochran has not been a conservative in years, McDaniel continued.
McDaniel went on to accuse Cochran, who has repeatedly said, I dont know much about the Tea Party movement, of not standing up to the Obama.
They [Mississippi voters] know that he hasnt even raised his voice or waged a fight against Barack Obama, McDaniel told Tim Constantine.
McDaniel also said that, what Mississippi wants, as the most conservative state in the Republic, is also the most conservative Senator.
Obamacare, whats the answer? Tim asked.

The vote in Idaho goes overwhelmingly to Republican candidates. Incumbent Republicans in Idaho have only been defeated when scandals or incompetence was involved.
It's easy to understand why the once-solidly DemonRAT South became Republican. The old FDR-style leftists of the region died off and the "New South" with a pro-business, anti-union Right-to-Work mindset emerged. That paved the way for the remarkable Conservative triumph across Dixie.
What's harder to explain is why Yankeeland took a turn to the DemonRAT party and its leftism. In particular, New England was once staunchly Conservative, going back to John Quincy Adams, Charles Sumner and, of course, President Calvin Coolidge. He'd be appalled at his home state of Vermont not only supported the obama cabal by staggering numbers but has an out-and-out socialist serving in the Senate, Bernie Sanders.
The leftist book, What's the Matter with Kansas? is totally wrong for there are very few things wrong with the Sunflower State. Instead, a more apt title would be What's the Matter with New England? due to its repudiation of its Conservatism heritage, replacing it with extreme liberalism.
In an ironic twist.
Unless white girls in a God ordained union in sunbelt states start having younguns like an Irish handmaiden...unlikely
All that will save us is like minded Yankees migrating in seeking refuge from the progressives
Northern and Pacifica conservatives tend to view Dixie as the Holy land of conservatism these days ...especially Texas..
I say welcome those who share our values
I have kinfolks moved into Franklin area from Pennsylvania and Kansas City....and they sure do.
That's the same state, along with its neighbors that set the stage for rise of Conservatism starting back in 1964:
Spot on....I ran across a pocket of truly virulent South hatred on another thread. Southerners were literally cursed and derided as something bestial and undesirable for the enlightened Northern states.
I know that isn’t how all Northerners feel, and like you, I welcome them here if they’re conservative and of a like mind.
Yep. I own a house on 2 acres in Mississippi in a nice neighborhood. My annual property taxes are a little more than $200. That includes school taxes.
It is truly amazing how outsiders can not understand Mississippi Politics. Even more a amazing they can’t understand if you vote in the dimocrat primary you can’t vote in the Republican run off. (or the runn eft)
Lol. Bless their hearts.
GOPe is committed to reelecting Gop incumbents, defeating democrat incumbents, thereby stopping Obama.

Are you freakin’ kidding me? They’ve had 6 years and Obama just keeps rolling along. The GOPe couldn’t stop a one car funeral procession. I wonder how long the FR Moderators are going to let you keep infiltrating this site with you Liberal Agenda.
Come on folks: Just ignore staytrue. The more you argue with him/her that just feeds into his/her plan. IGNORE the idiot until the Moderators get enough of his/her infiltrating this website with his/her Liberal crap and they ban him/her.
GEESH! Like a bunch of Elementary School kids on the playground. GIVE IT A FREAKIN’ REST. And I pledge to do the same because I’m guilty too. Was it Mark Twain who said: “Never argue with an idiot.”
we need to stop electing Democrats in Disguise
We all know that. But, wasting an entire thread bickering with staytrue, whom everyone knows is a Liberal idiot, is such a waste of time, space and energy. I don’t see why FR hasn’t banned him/her.
Tks
Whoa, now you have my attention! So if I add Mississippi to my list of possible retirement destinations, what part of the state should I make a point to visit?
I have about 10-12 years before I make a move, but I really want something warmer, at least as far south as TN, and RED STATE is a must. Thanks
Yeah, I know arguing with Staytrue is a waste of time. But I’d like him to answer my questions. He’s probably a young hack who doesn’t know much political history. I’m ready for him.
