The only thing the feminists have done is alienated men and women. Add in the baby killing as some right.
Feminism is about making unattractive women have greater access to the mainstream of society. Unattractive women don’t have to worry about being raped.
Feminism is just an offshoot of liberalism which seeks to make everyone a victim.
Would these be the same feminists who are pushing to deploy women in combat zones?
According to feminists, women don’t need to defend themselves; all they have to do is vote Democrat and the Democrat Party will protect them. Women are just another class of victims beholden to the Democrat Party for their well being.
As a third degree black belt in hapkido, I believe learning self-defense is critical. It may be useful if your gun jams or you run out of ammunition.
Assuming a 120 lb woman is going to prevail over a 200 lb rapist because she learned a bunch of katas, while perhaps not implausible, is hopeful thinking at best.
Get a gun.
Keep in mind that the “feminist leadership” is really just a wholly owned subsidiary of the Progressive Movement.
Look at the rape/sexual assault stats demographics in that context. The feminist leadership just isn’t as concerned about women defending themselves as not rocking the Progressive boat by offending another portion of the Progressive Coalition.

WHAT? Um, so what is the solution genius? Asking the rapist politely not to rape you?
Liberals are like Europe.
They wander around life, without being prepared to defend themselves - no guns in the house, self defense training is sneered at. But, for the most part, they have no problems - because those of us who do defend ourselves are protecting the entire herd.
Paulie got it right. But I will take it a step further than just Feminazis. Liberals and Democrats don't want solutions that work. They are in the business of selling problems/victims so they can solicit power to work on solutions. It's actually the liberal play book. Try and think of a SINGLE thing that liberal ideology has solved with major negative consequences. To my knowledge there isn't one.
Republicans solved slavery and segregation but democrats have pushed and fostered racism and its victims ever since. Poverty, environment, wealth disparity, healthcare, war on drugs, immigration, sexism, gay rights, etc.
The democrats would go out of business if they ever solved anything. They have to create or exacerbate an problem to convince the powers to give them money and power to fix things. Lather, rinse, repeat.
And turning men into girls.
Indeed. I guess they think if they just say "No" enough the rapist will hang his head in shame and walk away.
Perhaps the goal of radical American feminism is male castration, then no black belt required.
Feminists are afraid of strong women. If you are physically and mentally strong then you have no need to rely on the government. That is where their fear lies.

So if someone is trying to murder you, which happens quite a lot to women who are raped, don’t defend yourself because it’s “icky”.

Besides feminists, you know who else is against self defense when it comes to rape? The rapist.

Myself, as a fourth-degree black belt, I learned from a young age that you need to be confident and be able to defend yourself.
Awesome! My oldest daughter is a black belt and youngest is a year away (I’m three years away). The older one knows grappling and ju-jitsu. Younger one is just starting to learn.
Most self-defense situations require hand-to-hand combat, not guns, so learning TKD or other martial art should be first and foremost. Then learn to use a stick, knife, sword and other weapons.
But learning to use firearms should parallel that training for those other self-defense situations.
Apparently most liberal women don’t have anything of value worth protecting.
