The father of a Perry Hall High School student struck a teacher with a baseball bat after police were made aware of a series of texts between the teacher, a 42-year-old man, and a 15-year-old student, Baltimore County police said.
Police said an officer of the White Marsh Precinct read over dozens of texts that described an emotional relationship that seemed inappropriate for a teacher and student, according to a release from the Baltimore County Police Department. The girl's mother alerted police to the texts at about 3 a.m. at the precinct.
Police determined however that no crime had been committed. The case was referred to the Crimes Against Children Unit for further investigation, police said.
"There's nothing we've seen in the contents that's criminal," Baltimore County police spokeswoman Elise Armacost said of the text messages.
Thursday morning, the teacher went to the girls home in the 4600 block of Vicky Road to speak with the girls father. The teacher did so without permission, police said.
"The girl's father told the teacher to leave, but the teacher refused, according to a police news release. The girl's father then struck the teacher with a baseball bat.
The officer found that the teacher sustained minor injuries and advised him of the process for swearing out a complaint of second-degree assault (a misdemeanor), the release continued. The teacher said he did not wish to pursue charges.
So far, no charges have been filed. Police are not releasing the names of the girl, her parents or the teacher.
The father could file trespassing charges against the teacher, who has been barred from returning to the home. The teacher could file assault charges against the father, police said.
Back in the days when there were sensible standards,
= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =
Back a few years the USN had an ADM who apparently ‘slipped through the cracks’ or was considered ‘Uppity (If you know, you know)’ and an ‘Employee’ of his had lost her husband or family in an accident and he was seen - IN A PUBLIC VENUE - of putting his arm around her and comforting her.
The ADM got REPRIMANDED - read fired - for his ‘Act of Compassion’ or, I think the term at the time was ‘Random Act of Kindness’.
Granted he was not adhering by the ‘rules’ but at the time a lot more people were just getting reassigned etc for actions ‘behind closed doors’ etc...
If they wanna get you, be careful because they will.
My how times have ‘changed’ ... This slug doesn’t get charged, reprimanded and I suppose the Union will back him enough so where he may get a ‘promotion’ to a desk job rather than can him and prosecute him.
Imagine if Monica’s dad, Dr. Bernard Lewinsky, had held a presser in front of the WH, denouncing Clinton for abusing his daughter. Instead, the putz gave Clinton a pass. No wonder Monica’s an impressionable whack job with daddy issues..
I find this amazing. If I'm kind enough to tell the pedophile (three times my daughter's age!) to leave my property, rather than going the shovel and shut up route, I expect the pervert to leave immediately. Does this predator really not understand that his actions are evil, and that it is a parent's job to protect children from evil, or is the child molester that secure in his knowledge that Maryland's unconstitutional gun laws will protect him?
When I was a kid, I was friendly with all the older folks on my block. I would stop by (often alone and unsupervised) to check out books, cars, rocks, etc and learned so much. Nobody thought anything of it.
Today we are so far gone as a society that we automatically assume predation when older people interact with children. Any decent adults are too terrified of being accused so only predators remain.
I think this increases the divide between generations and is making young people even stupider.
Teacher shows up, uninvited, at the child's house, to "talk".
Refuses to leave.
Teacher is lucky he wasn't beaten to a pulp.
In other Teacher/Student liason news, we have this from Utah.
I would delay judgement until the texts come out.
What if the teachers responses were “leave me alone”, or “get help”, or “I am taking this to your parents?”
I can think of no reason for the teacher to go to the house.
Satan and the left have replaced The State for The Family,
and have done so under the false guise of “civility”.
I assert that it is MORE civil for a father to protect his daughter like this than to turn the matter over to the State.
We have seen that the State, infested with leftists, will get it morally WRONG every time. Every time.
If someone is pestering you you block them or, if your phone does not allow that, ignore them.
In any event I’m sure the phone company still has the technology to block certain numbers from reaching your phone.
Yup. This what Dads older Brothers and Uncles are for....
Imagine if he had hit him with a baseball bat...
The teacher is lucky he didn’t get beaten to death.
Why is he still running around loose?
As for the Police, just union brothers looking out for each other
Case closed.
He blamed Ken Starr. Wonderful dad.
Not so fast. I have a problem with this part here:
The officer found that the teacher sustained minor injuries . . .
For "Father of the Year", I'm expecting a brief hospital stay at the very least.
Baseball bats are exactly the tool to be deployed in these and many cases.
They send a strong message.
They don’t get the gun grabbers all spun up.
Other areas for deployment:
EPA
IRS
DHS
etc...
I know that. But I guess my point is there is a lot more to this story.
Do you all think this guy was going to the house to propose or sweep this girl off her feet?
Going to her house was a huge mistake. If he was involved with her, he should be hung. But we need some critical thinking around here. There are too many folks jumping to conclusions.
If I was a 16-year-old male, I’d be working hard to “wear down her defenses,” too.
I didn’t know Marylanders wanted to leave their little state. With Spiro Agnew gone, I would have thought that they were finally contented.
I thought this Dr. Lewinsky (was he a Democrat?) didn’t mind what had happened.
