TALIBAN SWAPPIN' BLUES (White House scarambles desperately for a solution)

It is hard to believe, but even after five years of ruling, the Obama administration still reeks of incompetence. It behaves like a novice administration.
Every excuse was thrown out, every justification was made, as -- in an increasing panic -- the Obama administration saw what they viewed as a probable publicity coup, become one of the examples of 'terrible optics' we read about.
- First, we heard from Hagel that Bowe Bergdahl's health was in danger. Oh, wait, no, it wasn't. NEXT.
- Next, we heard that Bergdahl was a soldier who served with honor and distinction, and therefore, we HAD to rescue him. This was from serial-liar Susan Rice. Oh, wait, no, maybe he didn't serve with honor and distinction. His peers claim he was a deserter, and it appears he became allied with the Taliban.
- Next, we heard that platoon members who knew Bergdahl, and who criticizing him, were 'Swiftboating' him. That one didn't work out too well -- those who were too young didn't know what 'Swiftboating' was, and those who were old enough, remember that 'Swiftboating' was synonynous with 'telling the truth'.
- Next, we were told by Brandon Friedman, the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs at Department of Housing and Urban Development, that Bergdahls fellow soldiers may be pyschopaths. Obviously that story didn't go over well, and Brandon Friedman even scrubbed his Twitter profile to remove his government role.
- Next, Obama fell back on the old, tired, 'racism/everyone hates me' card. Politico details the story as the Obama Administration framing the criticism as another example of Republicans complaining about something just because Obama was the one to do it. However, after having heard that excuse repeatedly over the last five years, that went over as poorly as one would expect.
- Now, we hear that Congress -- not informed of this swap as required by a law Obama *just* signed -- wasn't told because the Taliban threated to kill Bowe Bergdahl if they were informed. That one doesn't even pass the Laugh Out Loud test! The Taliban would very likely be unaware of this law, and not to care what Congress thought.
- And we see the next argument shaping up, over the horizon: Obamas Bergdahl Deal May Be Smarter Than You Think... because when releasing five dread generals in a terror army, what could POSSIBLY go wrong.
What this absurd thrashing about seems to show us is that the VA scandals were really hurting Obama. It shows us that nothing -- NOBODY -- will stand in the way of Obama when he has embraced the wrong choice (recall that the Afgan CIA Station Chief was outed by Obama in the days leading up to this fiasco of a trade). It shows us the Obama administration expected this to go well, though I'm not sure how it would have worked like that. In their panic, the Obama Administration shows us that this Taliban/Bergdahl episode is genuinely redounding to their negative. And finally, it reinforces the role of the "news" media as the new Propaganda Ministry, as they sound like the lawyer who famously argued,
Your honor, my client did NOT take possession of his neighbors bucket. Second, there was ALREADY A HOLE in the bucket when my client took possession. Thirdly, my client NEVER put a hole in the bucket. And fourth, my Client repaired the hole before returning the bucket.

LOL! Not hard to believe by any stretch of the imagination. Darn thing is that as clueless as they are, they’re still causing incalcuable damage to this country. I knew this clown was inept before he actually got the nomination.

One would think, with five years on the job, the Current Regime would at least start to get SOMETHING right.
The only thing they have been able to do is deliver enough spin to get re-elected. Just about everything else shows either they do not have a clue, or they are so adamantly self-righteous and doctrinaire that appeals to logic and reason simply cannot penetrate. Between being almost totally tone-deaf and not having anybody on the job that can point to relevant experience that could have prepared them, they end up giving incompetence a bad reputation.
Even their intentions aren’t very good.

Great points sir. Especially about how the VA scandal, needing to be dealt with, was surpassed by this Bergdahl scandal.
But how is this possible? How can you diffuse one scandal by creating another? No matter. Obama does it, and it works for him. Of all the hundreds of impeachable scandals since 2009, he gets away with them all.

Bergdahls fellow soldiers were space aliens from which he had to escape before they could conduct cruel medical experiments on him.Next after that one: Bergdahl was abducted by Leprechauns who exclaimed they were after his Lucky Charms.

Oh, don’t anyone fret, we’ll be hearing from these 5 terrorists that this administration just released. There will be a mass kidnappings of American citizens, all over the world. By the time this is over, every American citizen, any where in the world will be in danger of kidnapping, to exchange them for some more GITMO resident. These Muslims will even try and kidnap a “HIGH AMIRICAN POLITICIAN” or an “AMERICAN AMBASSADOR” to exchange for the blind sheik. You watch my words, this will happen.

According to Bergdahl, his fellow soldiers were “teabaggers and fringers, and I just couldn’t tolerate being in their intolerant company,” he sniffed.

It’s racism...the only thing they have left to spin with.

Yeah, this one ain’t going so well for BO. WaPo independently confirmed through Afghani villagers what Bergdahl’s platoon-mates have been saying all along - Bergdahl sought out the Taliban. Then TIME spoke directly to the Taliban and confirmed that - Hell Yeah! - they were now inspired to capture more of our guys and not only that but also they would work hard to get a really big fish next time.
FUBO!

Not really, they don’t care. Congress will threaten and warn til they’re blue in the face but the dictator knows he can’t be stopped.
What me worry!

How come everyone in that pic has a weapon except the dude with the crock pot?
Is he gonna blow something up or has he been cooking goat-n-leeks all day and they’re all a-fixin’ to sit down for lunch?
Goat-n-leeks is pretty good, by the way.

Kudos to WilliamofCarmichael for finding this. This was known back in February,2014:

Obama administration 'to offer Taliban 5 Gitmo prisoners in exchange for last Afghanistan POW Bowe Bergdahl who has spent four years captive'
- New report from the Washington Post claims that the Obama administration is willing to trade five Taliban prisoners for Army Sergeant Bowe Bergdahl
- Berghdal is the last remaining US prisoner held by the Taliban in Afghanistan
- He was captured in 2009 and the Taliban initially demanded $1 million for his release
- Pentagon press secretary, Rear Admiral John Kirby said on Friday 'this has gone on too long'
