Okay, I've watched Rasmussen's polls with amusement over the past year, and I understand that Scott no longer handles it, but they're really off their rocker now. Rasmussen has Obama at 52% approval and 46% disapproval (+7). This while all of the other polls are dumping downward and in light of severe disapproval overall during the VA and Bergdahl scandals.
Real Clear Politics has Obama at and average of 43.4 approval to 52.4 disapproval (-9). Drop out the ridiculous Rasmussen number at that average drops to 42.1% approve to 53.3% disapprove (-11).
It almost seems at this point that they're making stuff up in my opinion. It seems pretty coincidental that when he needs a boost the most in the polls, they come to the rescue.
How much longer can Real Clear Politics even include these clowns in their poll when they are so consistently not just off, but WIDE off the mark of the other polls they list?
For reference:
Real Clear Politics Obama Approval Poll
Scott left several years ago, IIRC.
Sounds like 52% of democrats to me.
There was a earlier thread about this today, it seems, by what people were posting, that “Rasmussen” isn’t actually Rasmussen anymore, Scott Rasmussen left the company and now it’s run by some lefty group. Which explains much....
I think America is just drifting steadily to the left.
Is it a lefty group, or is the methodology flawed? I here they add extra sauce for cell phone users...which skews surveys left, because they assume most cellphone only people are young and liberal..,
My conclusion as well. Phone banks, staff, analysts cost real money. Poll results do not.
There was a news item a few years ago about busting a radio live-traffic reporter. Seems each day he'd go to the airport, start up the chopper, and while it was idling, make up the traffic.
The references at Rasmussen to number of calls or whatever is basically the chopper idling in the background.
It is true, 52% of all liberal Democrats polled think that Obama is doing a wonderful job.
I too was puzzled by this until I drilled down into the various questions asked by the poll and found a correlation with this question:
46. Q. Do you consider the United States of America to be (a) nothing more than a pinata that is to be bashed open and looted to provide you with free stuff until nothing is left but a husk of cardboard and colorful paper or (b) the American nation constituted as a republic under a constitution of limited government?
52% a pinata
46% a constitutional republic
Rasmussen left Rasmussen years ago. Their polling immediately shot leftward, and has been gradually gravitating even further left ever since.
But still, if you ever see Rasmussen Reports mentioned in an msm article, they are still referred to as a Republican polling firm!
Polls eavesdropped on then electronically altered by NSA?
It’s done for national security purposes.
There’s no conspiracy, it just can’t be admitted yet to conservative sheeple.
The conservative leadership needs to keep control of the conservative sheeple.
You can’t have a sitting President’s approval rating publicly disclosed by reputable pollsters at less than 1% of the the working, taxpaying hamster population.
The optics would be terrible. It would almost lend credence to conspiracy theories.
The solution ? Just include more non-working, non-taxpaying and elite minion hamsters in your polling.
Polling won’t be necessary anyway once the disarmament is complete.
I don’t go there anymore, which is the only way to handle it.
Gave up on Rasmussen after 2012, when he was showing lots of enthusiasm among Republicans, indicating a big ‘pub turnout that should have carried Romney easily - sounds like he’s become an arm of the ‘rat party....
There was a news item a few years ago about busting a radio live-traffic reporter. Seems each day he’d go to the airport, start up the chopper, and while it was idling, make up the traffic.
That was Les Nesman from WKRP in Cincinnati : )
Given the way the left thinks, or I should say ‘plans’:
1. They pay top dollar for Rasmussen when he sells it so that ...
2. They control a reputable polling name they can point to which also
3. Remains in polling averages and sways those averages at least a point.
MIllions well spent in their eyes. It’s all about political ROI for them. They’d make fine capitalists if production, rather than power, were their goal.
