I’m cool...I have to get my normal gait back.
I am off for home!
God I love dirt biking, motorcycling.
Off Road.
My all time favorite!
4 (Count ‘em!) diminished chords in the very first line!
So David recovered all that the Amalekites had carried away, and David rescued his two wives. And nothing of theirs was lacking, either small or great, sons or daughters, spoil or anything which they had taken from them; David recovered all.
1 Samuel 30:18-19
It sure is! Scared and excited all at the same time! :)
Yup, that’s where I was born again, USMC fashion, a decade after you.
May the stupid yellow footprints never fade!
I have a friend who is a bird-colonel chaplain. He likes Marines, but think they’re “a bit off”. He was telling a story of a friend of his who had a son who’d just graduated from Marine boot camp. He was visiting home on leave and was invited to attend a ‘thanks to the troops’ event on post by my friend. In the ceremony, each service’s song was played. When the Marine Corps Hymn began, this kid shot to rigid attention and stayed that way.
My chaplain friend’s wife commented “Gee...you could snap him in half. Will he ever relax?” My friend said, “Yes...when he’s dead. They’re trained that way.”
Yes...he does have great respect for them.
George could do it all. Songs, concertos, opera, you name it.
Oh God there is some hilarious Scottish commercial that uses the song “Born to Be Wild” Cant think of the name of the company, minds gone blank.
Great song
I love his stuff.
His “Movie music” was great too.
George said, "But I want to worry about the incidental music. If my name is on the credits, I want to be sure that every note is mine. Hell, I'll write the incidental music for free!"
That last sentence was music to Berman's ears. As a result, every note in this film came form George's pen, to include this instrumental classic that was used as a long intro to a song.
I understand completely the desire to have control over every note of one’s own compositions!
George’s standards were incredibly high.
