KABUL (Reuters) - The release of five Taliban prisoners in exchange for a U.S. soldier has drawn criticism from some Afghans, who say the detainees are dangerous and will rekindle ties with terrorist networks to resume fighting, just as most foreign troops leave.
The men had been held at the U.S. naval base at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba since 2002 and were classed by the Pentagon as "high-risk" and "likely to pose a threat".
Two are also implicated in the murder of thousands of minority Shi'ite Muslims in Afghanistan, according to the U.S. military.
They were released in a swap with U.S. army sergeant Bowe Bergdahl, the sole American prisoner of war held in Afghanistan who was flown to a U.S. military hospital in Germany on Sunday.
"They will definitely go back to fight, if health-wise they are able to go," said a top official at Afghanistan's spy agency, who asked to remain anonymous because of the sensitivity of the topic.
"They will be very dangerous people, because they have connections with regional and international terror organizations around the world."

The Obama Admin did not even make token effort to get them to sign an agreement that they will not resume their war against the United States and the rest of the world, futile gesture that it would be.
I’m frankly surprised that Obama did not issue them an AK -47 and a stockpile of RPGs and Stinger missiles as a door prize as got off the plane from Gitmo

While locked up with the other terrorists at Guantanamo, they had a great opportunity to make contacts and learn from each other. It’s like going off to terrorist college. Will they be getting a diploma?
If the Democrats had had their way, they’d never have stopped releasing convicted murderers like Willie Horton onto our cities’ streets so they could murder and rape more innocent victims.
Fortunately, however, Republicans like Rudy Giuliani put an end to such practices with mandatory sentencing laws, etc., which the Democrats haven’t yet been able to overturn.
In the meantime, a Democratic president has found a way to bring horror and death to innocent NON-American victims by releasing murderous Islamofascist prisoners into other countries’ cities.
Will the murder of hundreds of Afghanis at the hands of the five Taliban terrorists Obama has just released satiate Obama’s bloodlust, or will he have to release additional terrorists from time to time to keep his cruel appetites fed?

He's doing plenty of that in Syria. US weaponry is all over the place after Libya, Syria, and trusting the Turks and Iraqis. He probably also paid the middlemen, so I think they will get a door prize.

Well, duh...
This type of mentality has been going on for a long time. Prison inmates (including Gitmo prisoners) always get better medical care than veterans. My opinion, is that prisoners always seem to have an army of lawyers filing law suits for them. Most of the time, they win these lawsuits. Veterans do not have all these lawyers, so they get bad care.
Well, they are in better health than our vets who depend on the VA.
But they will be getting some sophisticated weapons to use against Americans courtesy of the Obama Administration's supplying Al-Qaeda in Syria through Lebanon.
They won't need health care when they detonate a suicide bomb on American citizens.
