The Cuyahoga Medical Examiner’s Office ruled today that a young woman died from complications due to a legal abortion she obtained at a Cleveland abortion clinic earlier this year.
Wilson, 22, died as the result of a heart attack suffered immediately after she underwent a therapeutic abortion. The full autopsy report is not yet available, according to the statement.
This confirms the information released to LifeNews by Operation Rescue, which has released two videos featuring 911 call recordings showing a pattern of botched abortions at Preterm abortion clinic in Cleveland, Ohio, where Lakisha Wilson suffered a fatal abortion.
“After we obtained 911 records that stated a patient was ‘not breathing at all, along with the notation that there was a patient death, we were sure that Wilson died from abortion complications. That has now been confirmed by the Medical Examiner’s office,” said Troy Newman, President of Operation Rescue. “If Lakisha Wilson had not gone to Preterm, she would be alive today. We renew our call for the closure of that abortion clinic in order to protect other women from suffering Lakisha’s tragic fate.”
Wilson’s death was first discovered by the group through an open records request for 911 records after being tipped off by Pastor Dale Henkel, who photographed the ambulance at Preterm on March 21, 2014.
According to a statement released by the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office:
Decedent was conveyed from 12000 Shaker Blvd., in Cleveland to University Hospitals Case Medical Center and arrived on 3-21-14 where she was treated, expired and was pronounced on 3-28-14.
The Cleveland Plain Dealer newspaper has more on the findings:
Lakisha Wilson of Canal Winchester near Columbus was rushed to the hospital during the termination her pregnancy March 22 at Preterm Abortion Clinic. She died a week later of “cardiopulmonary arrest immediately following elective abortion of intrauterine pregnancy,” the Medical Examiner’s Office said.
The medical examiner designated her death as being from a “Therapeutic Complication.” It “reflects the association of this death with a medical procedure and is not intended to address issues regarding quality of care or standards of practice.”
Representatives at Preterm have not responded to phone calls.
According to information gathered by Operation Rescue from those on the scene and who have been contacted by members of the woman’s family, Lakisha Wilson was in the later stages of pregnancy, and because of that was turned down by abortion clinics in Columbus and Akron.
LakishaWilsonShe was said to have been brain dead at the time she arrived at the hospital, but was kept on life support for several days so that her organs could be harvested.
“We wish to express our deepest sympathies to Lakisha’s family for their devastating loss,” said Troy Newman, President of Operation Rescue. “We have filed complaints with the Ohio Medical Board and with the Ohio Department of Health. We call on the ODH to immediately suspend Preterm’s clinic license pending a full investigation into Lakisha’s death.”
Records, which were obtained through a public records request, show that at 10:59 a.m. on Friday, March 21, 2014, an employee of Preterm dialed 911 and reported to a dispatcher there was a 22-year-old female patient at the clinic who was not breathing at all.
The caller also indicated that the patient was unconscious and receiving CPR at the time of the call, but efforts to restart respiration had been unsuccessful.
“The lack of a sense of urgency really struck me as I was listening to the 911 recording,” said Troy Newman, President of Operation Rescue. “A woman was dying or dead, and there just seemed to be no real hurry to respond to the dispatcher.”
The CAD transcript, which lists event chronology for 911 emergencies, showed that units were dispatched just moments after the 911 call began and that it took paramedics three minutes to arrive at the clinic at 11:02 a.m. when they began emergency measures.
At 11:21, paramedics transmitted information about the patient’s condition to the University Hospital Case Medical Center and began to transport her to the emergency room, arriving at 11:26 a.m. The ambulance listed its status as “cleared” at 11:27 a.m.
At no time during the 28 minutes that emergency responders were in contact with the patient was there any indication that the patient ever resumed respiration.
The CAD Transcript contained the “9-E-1,” the most serious of life-threatening medical emergencies, along with the notations “Cardiac or Respiratory Arrest/Death” and “Not breathing at all.”

No , because abortion is not murder , that’s a legal term for an illegal homicide , abortion is a legal form of homicide... you will find that it is what all medical professionals call an abortion that is not “natural” ( a miscarriage ) , you will see it abbreviated as TA in the medical records.

Legal is legal ,,, a killing in self defense is a “legal” homicide; an execution called for in a criminal sentence is a legal homicide... etc. etc.

While I agree with your sentiment , I think we should use proper terminology here , calling an act murder when it is legally sanctioned is a mistake as it is an open invitation to a slander suit if you were to use it in conjunction with the name of an identifiable person.

I’m all for using all legal means available to us.. ,, they in large part built the trap , lets use it...
I myself am making it a hobby to learn as much as I can about regulations I can use .. right now I am researching DEA form 223 and how it interacts with state reporting requirements... I have a potential target that is and has been working “under the radar” at a surgical facility for a few years that may not have registered that location properly.
