Talk show host and military veteran Montel Williams went after President Barack Obama on Wednesday for not using his West Point speech as an opportunity to apologize to members of the U.S. military for having “dropped the ball on the veterans’ health.”
“The president just promised $5 billion for terrorists around the world?! At West Point?!” Williams said angrily. “Where he could have used the day to say, ‘I’m sorry for the pain that I’ve caused you, the families, and I’m gonna fix it today!’”
Williams then called for a “#VASurge” campaign to make sure there is enough funding to adequately address the health concerns of military veterans.
Continuing his angry tirade against the Obama administration’s handling of the Veterans Affairs scandal, Williams told Neil Cavuto that firing VA Secretary Eric Shinseki just isn’t going to cut it. He argued that would be like cutting the head of a chicken that could keep living, citing the famous Miracle Mike chicken who survived for roughly 24 months after having its head cut off.
“I’m angry because, you know, we made a promise. When I stood with my hand up proudly, I said, ‘I do solemnly swear and affirm to support and defend the Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic and I will bear true faith.’ I went through my oath,” Williams said. . .

Without a profit motive, where's the incentive? Don't tell me the altruism and good intentions of bureaucrats is enough.
He was on TV hawking fake Obama coins after the 2008 election.

I saw Montel’s interview with Cavuto and it was passionate, barely controlled rage and had more than a few breaks in composure .... this is the particular part that has really, really stuck with me.
If 0bama were running for re-election Mr. Montel Williams would vote for him again. And again and again.
Obama hates the military, they are the vehicle of US oppression around the world in his view. They deserve what they get. This is on purpose, wake up America.

Right! A key part of this investigation needs to center around why the VA can’t service it’s patients. My guess (as you point out) is that the VA medical staff is simply a bunch of lazy government employees whose idea of work is seeing next to no patients each day. Government “service” is all about the government employee, and not about the proper delivery of whatever service they’ve been hired to provide. The only problem with the VA is that people die rather than just be inconvenienced. Kinda like the Post Office or the DMV, etc.
The VA is also over 80% union ‘workers’.

The Veterans Administration (VA), mismanagement has been increasing yearly. Most of the problems started during the Lyndon Johnson administration and have continued to worsen through subsequent Government administrations.

He's one sharp guy as evidenced by his own military history and a true patriot for speaking out against VAObama this way.......
Communist contents it is a worker system..but then it would be by nature anti consumer of the work because it protect bad work and does not reward good work...the costumer no longer control the carrot and stick

The other thing about Montel ..... he’s functioning despite MS (as is Cavuto). I had a friend with this (she died last year after years of suffering) .... it’s just horrible. He and Cavuto have my respect for getting out and doing what they do despite the MS.
That is a pretty interesting idea......do TAD orders to clear the backlog. I would add maybe roll them into tricare until it is cleared and the entire VA is rebuilt.
He (Montel Williams), must be doing as much as he can to take good care of himself in regards to the MS.
Did the right thing to stand up in regards to this latest scandal.
