A 2010 Pentagon directive on military support to civilian authorities details what critics say is a troubling policy that envisions the Obama administrations potential use of military force against Americans.
The directive contains noncontroversial provisions on support to civilian fire and emergency services, special events and the domestic use of the Army Corps of Engineers.
The troubling aspect of the directive outlines presidential authority for the use of military arms and forces, including unarmed drones, in operations against domestic unrest.
This appears to be the latest step in the administrations decision to use force within the United States against its citizens, said a defense official opposed to the directive.
Directive No. 3025.18, Defense Support of Civil Authorities, was issued Dec. 29, 2010, and states that U.S. commanders are provided emergency authority under this directive.
Federal military forces shall not be used to quell civil disturbances unless specifically authorized by the president in accordance with applicable law or permitted under emergency authority, the directive states.
In these circumstances, those federal military commanders have the authority, in extraordinary emergency circumstances where prior authorization by the president is impossible and duly constituted local authorities are unable to control the situation, to engage temporarily in activities that are necessary to quell large-scale, unexpected civil disturbances under two conditions.
The conditions include military support needed to prevent significant loss of life or wanton destruction of property and are necessary to restore governmental function and public order. A second use is when federal, state and local authorities are unable or decline to provide adequate protection for federal property or federal governmental functions.
Federal action, including the use of federal military forces, is authorized when necessary to protect the federal property or functions, the directive states.

This policy may have been new in 2010, but now it is several years old. I am not claiming that it is a change from anything, just pointing out that it is not news.
This is not a new policy that I can see but I was unaware of it. It’s Obama’s policy and the directive is dated 12-29-10 and has a change included dated 9-1-12.

Yes you are right because A: He knows most of the military think he’s a POS and won’t go agains’t their own people and B: He’s so stupid he thinks a bunch of civil servants can outgun the highly armed and sophisticated American public.
Epic fail!
While all the smartest people in the room are sitting on their collective asses bloviating, our government plots against.
The ultimate in 'total control' over another human being is murder.
Seems it's one of the necessary and predictable stops on the road to a totalitarian hellhole. One we appear to be moving toward.
Don’t leave out the local yokels. They’re on power trips, too.
Military assistance can include loans of arms, ammunition, vessels and aircraft. The directive states clearly that it is for engaging civilians during times of unrest.
I wonder how the little democrat sh*ts plan on creating 'unrest' so they can use their boots on our faces? Anyone have an idea?
Rome-on-the-Potomac is operated by a Uniparty for the purpose of funneling power and wealth to its members.
An impeachment and trial could upset the gravy train. Not going to happen.

The demographics are about the same as it always was. Blacks around 23%, women 12%, homos no one really knows but I'm sure the numbers have held steady since most don't really fancy the military life.
Amendments of 2006
On September 30, 2006, the Congress modified the Insurrection Act as part of the 2007 Defense Authorization Bill (repealed as of 2008). Section 1076 of the law changed Sec. 333 of the "Insurrection Act," and widened the President's ability to deploy troops within the United States to enforce the laws. Under this act, the President may also deploy troops as a police force during a natural disaster, epidemic, serious public health emergency, terrorist attack, or other condition, when the President determines that the authorities of the state are incapable of maintaining public order. The bill also modified Sec. 334 of the Insurrection Act, giving the President authority to order the dispersal of either insurgents or "those obstructing the enforcement of the laws." The law changed the name of the chapter from "Insurrection" to "Enforcement of the Laws to Restore Public Order."
You forgot the FBI, DEA, and BATF. They've gotten a lot of practice over the past many years at being murderous thugs.
Personally, I think the military will generally be on board as well. It's kind of a sad thought though.
Thanks for the update.
Just more in the federal government’s war against American citizens.
I knew the military would follow orders.
You asked what major unconstitutional action will Obama take to create a civilian uprising?
He has been setting the table since slithering into office to either create a financial crisis or terrorist attack or both in order to take advantage of the crisis. At the onset of either or both, he will send in his fedgov drones to “restore order”. I believe that is when the poop will hit the high speed prop.
As for active duty military, I really can’t see any of them taking up arms against their fellow Americans with the exception of a few officers who are political types. They might give orders, but I doubt that any of them will follow.
It will be messy.
I hear you but that is an area of concern.
We do know that this isn't the same military we had before Obama.
He has been developing an officer corps and enlisted cadre that is no doubt more beholden to Obama himself than to the constitution or the nation.
They’re still out numbered 20:1 if the 20 will stand.
...not if that “executive authority” hates the U.S. & is the enemy within. Wise up.
They won’t be assaulting civilians. They will be assaulting weapons dealers, drug traffickers, terrorists, anti-govt radicals and other labels which will be created as needed.
