When it comes to today’s college curricula, nothing, it seems, is beyond the pale.
Case in point: At San Diego State University, a brand new graduate program will offer an “Advanced Certificate in Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Studies,” starting this fall, according to Nathan Harden, editor of The College Fix. A university press release describes the program as a way to “advance knowledge in sexual and gender identity, and increase understanding of the diverse cultural, historical, ethnic, racial and contemporary experiences of people across sexualities.”
The new LGBT certificate is actually no surprise for a school that honors San Diego’s annual Pride Week with a rainbow flag raising ceremony and offers a “Lavender” graduation ceremony each spring, reserved exclusively for students “who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, or allies.”
What is noteworthy is that this is a public school, which means this and other weapons in “San Diego State’s arsenal of programs designed to shape the moral and political views of the youth” are all offered at taxpayer expense. In fact, while a cultural diversity class is required for graduation, students can go through all four years without ever taking a class in American history.
Is there a tranny factory up the street?
Oh yeah! That new LGBT certificate should get a real CRAP job!
Graduates with said degree are hoping they’ll be hired on as government Commissars.
It will get you a job in the federal government.
I remember when a tranny was the mechanical device that transferred the energy from your engine to the wheels.
I wouldn’t trust one of these to pick up dog crap.
The government will mandate that every company has an lgbt officer on staff.
This degree is offered because soon, schools will be required to have an LGBTQ counselor with that degree. Probably city governments, too, and big companies will have their “diversity” programs graded on whether or not they have trained, credentialed people.
Just guessing, but it sounds right (and sort of like quartering troops on your land).
When graduates start their apprenticeships do their employers provide tools or do they need to buy their own?
Every corporation now has jobs like “Diversity Compliance Officer” and so on to satisfy the feds that they’re not violating anybody’s equal employment and other civil rights. That’s where the Transsexual Diploma grads end up, and at very handsome salaries I might add.
It’s a lucrative scam to say the least.
I’m reminded of The Lee Corso Show when he pretended to be football coach at Indiana. He’d have the “Senior of the Week” on his show, and would usually grab the kid around the shoulders, look at the camera and say: “Somebody give this kid a job!”
What the heck would I do with a grad student in Transgender Studies? I wouldn’t know whether to make them third shift assistant mens’ room attendant, or assign them to the ladies’ room.

Oh...You are correct! There will be a whole new department. The Department of LGBT - No one will make under $200,000/ year and the taxpayer will take another arrow in the ass.
