If not for one nurse who knew the truth, the VA would have just lied and gotten away with it.

Reason #10,001 why I avoid the VA, even if my life depends on it.

Because it often does.

Montano’s case is not tied to the current scandal, his wife claims. Rather, it is a case of police brutality.

YES, IT MOST CERTAINLY IS RELATED!!!

He had waited several HOURS for his dialysis. What does that say about scheduling and service?

And then he can't even leave of his own free will -- with his wife's knowledge and agreement -- AMA (against medical advice)?? Are you @#%$^^@%$# kidding me, he gets ATTACKED for this, for demanding to be treated well??

I'm hoping there's video surveillance evidence, but I didn't see it from article -- ?

Short summary of these events:

65 year old vet goes to the VA for dialysis treatment.
Gets prepped for treatment by have a medical device inserted in his arm.

*** Waits 4 hrs without treatment ***

Decides that is long enough and attempts to leave for another hospital to receive treatment.
On his way out, the staff tells him he cant leave and calls the VA cops.
VA cops tackle him and apply pressure to the carotid artery which results in a stroke.
Stroke eventually kills the Vet.

According to other accounts, the vet did not fight or struggle with the VA cops. He was attacked, assaulted and killed without ANY probable cause. Further, the cops did not even attempt to assess the situation by talking to the vet. In my opinion, the cops committed murder and should be held accountable for their illegal actions.

I hate to say it, but this veteran’s death would not have been covered by the media in 2011. Maybe it will now. I wish the deaths at the VA due to Legionnaire’s Disease were also looked into now.

The VA’s primary purpose these days appears to be to reduce the cost of government by eliminating a lot of military pensions.

This way that frees up a lot of money to use for medical care and education of illegal aliens.

Veterans appear to be at the lowest rung on the priority list. Illegal aliens are America’s First Class Citizens. Working American Citizens are second class citizens and veterans are down the line as third or forth class citizens.

This is a national shame for a government that has no shame.

Turns out VA security are actual LEOs not mere security guards.

VA police stomped on the veterans head and neck

Why does the VA have police at all?

I must ask (perhaps out of ignorance) but why does the VA need a Police Department? It seems that every Federal department has it’s own Law Enforcement Agency... I would think any Law Enforcement matters could be handled just fine by local or County Agencies. Perhaps, just perhaps it all comes down to CONTROL.

The headline implies a Veteran’s Administration cop instead of Virginia cop.

My bad. The story finally loaded and it was a V.A. cop.

First things first:

Ready-fire-aim I promise to read the story completely next time and

I didn't know the V.A. had cops. In our local facility they are rent-a-cops.

Mac daddy just found out about this from the news paper and is mad as he**.

After the VA reviews this problem and issues its report mac daddy will make a decision.

Relax, what could go wrong and would mac daddy lie?

Oh wait, never mind.
