You would have heard that at the recent 15th annual White Privilege Conference in Madison, Wisconsin, attended by 2,500 public-school teachers, administrators and students from across the nation.

My kids are about one year away from kindergarten, and I think this has push me over the top with my home schooling decision. The school are now opening teaching racism,

This “white privelege” meme is actually quite comical. And just another reason you need to pull your kids from public schools.
As if any other reasons were really needed.
Public schools are a nineteenth century paradigm that outlived its usefulness in the late 20th century. It serves no real purpose other than to indoctrinate the masses and feed the children of the poor.

OK I’m white. Where’s all of this privilege I’ve been hearing about? Had to work my sorry fanny off all of my life.
Just what I was saying last week, public education is obsolete in today’s world, there is no point in having kids go through that whole rigmarole of public ed when they can be educated more efficiently in other ways. For example utilizing sites like Khan academy...This is your whole public education system on one website, and they found out kids learn faster and more efficiently when they use it, yet the press does everything it can to bury it....I’ll bet half the Freepers here never even heard of it...
White people should boycott public education and private schools that employ these hateful racists. Let them find other jobs that do not pollute the minds of our children with hate for the way God made them.
Yup. I remember “giving” my car away before moving west. Once we got here, a generous Dodge dealer in town “gave” me a brand new Hemi Ram for absolutely nothing. Free oil changes and service. Then some folks “gave” us a house. We don’t pay for any utilities or groceries or even gasoline. What a deal.
I would consider where you live...and if you would be sending your kids to “city” schools or “suburban” schools or “rural” schools.
There are private schools, which are much better than even the best public suburban schools, but they aren’t cheap.
My daughter is on Khan Academy. Loves it.

I think you’re wrong about the public schools.
The problem with them is that WE have surrendered them to the communists. WE should take them back, from the states and Feds.
Demand that tenure be removed.
Decertify the unions.
Start setting the curriculum locally. Return them to teaching the things that matter to US not what their silly common core standards are.
Refuse the state aid, and federal aid, and thus refuse their testing, their standards, and enforce real discipline.
To simply remove your kids only makes it easier for them to destroy other peoples kids, and turn THEM into democRATS.

I prefer to choose my battles. Public schools are unnecessary. I would very much prefer to home-school my children. It brings the family much closer together and also enhances the children’s social skills and feelings of self worth.
And with the MIT online courses and Khanacademy.org., public schools really are a relic, even if teaching the way we want them to. Even if teaching the way we want them to, they serve no purpose other than to feed the children of the poor and give us free daycare. I don’t want my children raised by someone else.
