JUPITER A 2-year-old girl found Monday in the bathtub of her Abacoa home and later pronounced dead was the victim of foul play, police say.
The suspect, a 40-year-old woman found unconscious in the home, has been taken into police custody, said Officer Adam Brown, spokesman for the Jupiter Police Department.
Kimberly Lucas, the former domestic partner of the toddler's mother, remains in critical condition at Jupiter Medical Center, police said.
"I don't know why she was found unconscious," Brown said. "She is in custody at the medical center."
Around 1:30 p.m. Monday, police responding to a 911 call about a possible drowning found Elliana Lucas-Jamason in the bathtub of a home in the 3200 block of South Bismark Lane, Brown said.

I suppose that instead of observing the dangers of “Mommy’s boyfriend,” we now have to say, “Mommy’s nonmarital partner of either sex.”

Yup - the slippery slope is indeed steep. We’re headed downhill so fast, it makes my head spin.
Not too long ago, if you thought homosexuality was acceptable, you were the crazy one. Now, if you say it’s wrong, you’re the one looked down on.

What a way to start the workweek. I’m not saying that lesbians and gays are perfect, but when do you hear about same sex couples who are normal?

Jupiter,Florida, population 55-60,000....located in Palm Beach County.....higher than national average individual and family incomes....famous people who have lived or are currently living in Jupiter include Michael Jordan, Bill Parcells, Bryant Gumbel, Mike Schmidt (baseball Hall of Fame), Burt Reynolds and many more of sports and entertainment elites.

I've lived in Jupiter for nearly 30 years now. Abacoa (where the little one died) is a development/downtown where the Marlins and Cardinals both train in the spring.
Most of Jupiter Island - where the really rich live - is technically Hobe Sound (Martin, not Palm Beach County).
As far as famous people - yeah there are a lot. I think it's easier to name PGA Tour members that live in Jupiter than ones who don't live in Jupiter.
Jupiter is also about the best beach on the east coast:
