For the past few weeks, the Obama administration has been the focus of attention as allegations of widespread corruption within the Department of Veterans Affairs continue to surface.
All across the United States, employees in VA hospitals are accused of cooking the books and altering medical records to make the hospitals appear to be better than they actually were. Meanwhile, our military veterans were forced to languish in endless waiting lists, many of whom died while waiting to see a doctor for the first time.
President Obama was briefed on this back in 2008 and even though he pledged that reforming the VA would be one of the main focuses of his presidency, nothing was ever done to fix these problems. In the past week, the VA has approved veterans using private medical facilities in situations with exceptionally long VA backlogs, a crushing blow to those who support government-run healthcare.
These are baby-steps forward and there is nothing that can be done to bring back those who perished as a direct result from this scandal. But the VA seems to be moving in the right direction. That is, until I learned of another disgusting 'scandal' that made me absolutely sick to my stomach.
Today is Memorial Day. This is the day where we all celebrate the sacrifices made by so many veterans who fought and died to protect our way of life. While it is certainly nice to thank active duty military personnel or veterans for their service, this day is specifically devoted to honoring those who sacrificed themselves for the preservation of this great country.
A story coming out of California alleges that the VA left dozens of deceased veterans to rot in the county morgue for over a year without them ever receiving a burial. Many of these deceased veterans had been in the morgue so long that County officials didn’t know their names and were racing to find ways to identify them. For the past year and a half, there have been more than SIXTY deceased veterans who were left to rot at the LA County Morgue.

I won’t have an issue if that was the rule in place. If they didn’t follow the rules, then I have a problem.

Unfortunately, I believe you are correct. The people in charge now loathe our military.
You have to know they were decades old
Been tied to the VA, since 1968, do to wounds in combat. yes I have Horror stories. If it had not been for my aggressive wife learning how to Play the system I would have left a long time ago. It has declined tremendously since they hung his picture on the wall.

All you really have to do is study a little history and what he is doing is obvious.
The rumors that officers are being asked if they would obey and order telling them to fire on American citizens, I believe the rumors to be true and also believe loyal American officers are being forced to retire or ran out of the service by whatever means it takes.
Here though is the problem for the traitors, Obama will not reward them, he will do the same as Stalin and say you betrayed your own country so why would I trust you.
I am quite sure walls are being built or plans made to do so for the MSM and other assorted trash that have helped this Chock Full of Nuts government achieve their goals. I hope the line ups at the walls are televised. I am sure Matthews will feel a tingle running down his leg instead of up when it is his turn.
Those that do the dirty work for this bunch are fools. If true Americans don’t get them, Obama will. Just a matter of time.
Back in 1981, my Dad (a D-Day Invader) was diagnosed with colon and rectal cancer.
His private practice doctor told us to stay away from the VA hospitals. He said they were hellholes.
This took place in Cleveland.

That’s what it takes. A good wife and a lot if fighting.
You know there are a lot of good docs and nurses in the VA system who help once you’re in ... But until then, there are a lot of heated phone calls...
It’ll be like the Mayo Clinic compared with BO care. You can’t doubt that?
Nothing new with this, I served active in the 1970’s and heard horror stories then about the treatment of ill vets.
I worked at a National Cemetery on a Work Study contract back in the early 1980's while going to school. It was ran efficiently and professionally.
BTW VA only provides the grave, the marker, opens it and closes the grave, for veteran and spouse. They are buried in the same grave. The last I heard the dependent spouse burial is now about a thousand dollars. The funeral itself unless on active duty at the time of death as far as I know has always been a family cost.
This is f****ing disgraceful...
