Nigeria's defense chief is claiming that the countrys military has located nearly 300 schoolgirls abducted by Islamic extremists but cannot go in with force to free them.
Air Marshal Alex Badeh told demonstrators supporting the country's much criticized military on Monday that Nigerian troops can save the girls, according to The Associated Press. But he added, "we can't go and kill our girls in the name of trying to get them back."

Advertizing that they know where they are is just stupid and could get them killed or moved.
No doubt.
The guy should shut his mouth....or was it a tip off for his buddies.
If Russian SpecOps can’t pull it off, no way the Nigerians can. If they try those girls are dead.

Might as well write a letter...Hey dudes...Move the girls...and don’t forget my Lamborghini..
Yeah, he either screwed up big time or he sent a message to the bad guys.
There are some top notch military contractors in South Africa.
Maybe they don’t know where they are, and they hope by getting them to move them they will find out.

My understanding is that the Nigerians prefer to hire gringos for their PMC work. I know some ex-US mil guys that have done a stint in Nigerian as instructors.
I just think our best bet is to pay a group like Executive Outcomes to take care of this. They sent something like 120 personnel into Sierra Leone in the midst of a civil war and seized control of the county for the legitimate government.
They’re led by retired SA special forces and use primarily African troops.
The UN would squeal like pigs if private contractors did the job but I personally couldn’t care less what the UN likes.
The country is so corrupt that I can’t trust ANY government official’s statement.
I found a picture of this great leader. What a piece of cr**.
Bet this news release does NOT help in freeing them.
Yep. Like it says on the FR reply post page...
Loose lips sink ships.
Executive Outcomes was dissolved on 31 December 1998.
