SUPPORTED GOING FURTHER, AS I DID IN OPENING THE WAY FOR GAYS TO SERVE IN CIA AND IN THE MILITARY. THAT SAID, I ACCEPT THE VOTE OF A YEAR AGO, AND I STRONGLY SUPPORT IT. AND, IN ITS IMPLEMENTATION, SCOUTING MUST PROVIDE A WELCOMING AND SAFE ENVIRONMENT FOR GAY YOUTH, A PLACE WHERE THEY CAN BENEFIT FROM SCOUTING AND NOT FACE BULLYING OR DISRESPECT.
BUT, I ALSO BELIEVE STRONGLY THAT WE MUST PUT THIS ISSUE BEHIND US AND MOVE FORWARD, RE-FOCUSING OUR ENERGIES AND OUR PASSION ON MAKING SCOUTING AN EVEN BIGGER, BETTER PROGRAM FOR KIDS. I AM, AS YOU MUST ALREADY KNOW, A HARD-EYED REALIST. GIVEN THE STRONG FEELINGS – THE PASSION – INVOLVED ON BOTH SIDES OF THIS MATTER, I BELIEVE STRONGLY THAT TO RE-OPEN THE MEMBERSHIP ISSUE OR TRY TO TAKE LAST YEAR’S DECISION TO THE NEXT STEP WOULD IRREPARABLY

FRACTURE AND PERHAPS EVEN PROVOKE A FORMAL, PERMANENT SPLIT IN THIS MOVEMENT -- WITH THE HIGH LIKELIHOOD NEITHER SIDE WOULD SUBSEQUENTLY SURVIVE ON ITS OWN. THAT IS JUST A FACT OF LIFE. 6/13/2012 – Jennifer Tyrell called upon AT&T CEO, Randall Stephenson, who is also a BSA National Executive Committee officer (his title is that of a vice president on the National Executive Committee) to join James Turley (CEO of Ernst Young) in speaking out against the BSA’s exclusive membership policy. Stephenson is expected to be selected as the next BSA president in 2014. Both Ernst & Young and AT&T had been commended by homosexual-rights groups for homosexual-friendly employment policies. In response, AT&T issued a statement on Stephenson's behalf, indicating that he too might be interested in working internally to reconsider the exclusive membership policy. Both Ernst & Young and AT&T are corporate members of the National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce. AT&T’s corporate HQ is in Dallas, TX, not far from BSA’s national office in Irving, TX. AT&T has scored a 100% perfect score on the HRUman Rights Campaign's Corporate Equality Index for 7 straight years since 2004.

Old Testament. How God punished Israel for sin thru shakings. God will shake a nation till it repents or destroyed. 9/11 was our first shaking, seven years later financial implosion in fall of 2008, 2015 is fast upon us. Has our nation repent. No it chose to embrace sodomy and continue licentious life style. God will shake the US till it repents or it is destroyed.
And this is why I resigned my position as an Assistant Scout Master as it created an untenable position between me being a Deacon in my Church and a scout leader. I could not advocate for both acceptance of homosexuality as a scout leader and teach against the perversion as a Christian.

And, there you go. Scout oath down the crapper...and management doesn't see what the problem is. Banden Powell must be spinning in his grave.
I know Gates is a complete douche because he uses only capital letters.
After reading his speech posted here the HuffPo is correct that he wants homosexuals as scout leaders, but he realizes that a hard, public push to make that happen would bring about its split and collapse very quickly.
And if I am reading in between his lines about the BSA “moving forward” (Leftists love the word, ‘forward’ when in reality it is backward) he’s still going to push for albeit in a much more subtle and subversive manner.

Morality is something that God defines and we accept. He promises to bless those who obey Him and he promises to withhold that blessing from those who refuse to accept what He says. At extreme levels of disobedience, He tells us that we will suffer national punishment.
Of course, none of this matters if God does not exist.
(I note that climate change alarmists demand that we must act on their recommendations because we cannot risk that they are wrong. But act on moral issues because we cannot risk that God’s does not exist or that His promises are no longer in effect? Not a factor. They cannot allow that God exists.)
And since he is going to continue to work at making that happen you might as get out of the BSA if you haven’t already.

That's how speech scripts are formatted - 14-18 points, all caps, triple spaced. This was probably copied and pasted from the original document. It's why I prefer to draft it in regular type and then do the all-caps font right before printing. If you need to recirculate the speech later you can revert back to normal copy rather than trying to retype it.
This has always been about money. The Boy Scouts have an expensive headquarters and bureaucracy to fund. They depend on corporate and foundation funding to operate. Make no mistake. Homosexuals are wealth and powerful. It was clear that either policy would change or funding would cease. The Boy Scout leadership put a price on its soul. This vile Gates will allow homosexuals positions of leadership within a year and like a locust will then move on.
Homosexual men should not take little boys in the woods.
Its just that simple.
The only thing that makes sense from his actions.
Our nuclear showdown with Iran just got pushed to 2015. That will be our reckoning.
I foresee NAMBLA and the BSA becoming a joint organization in the future.
