President Obama addressed the press on Wednesday after meeting with Veterans Affairs Secretary Eric Shinseki about the recent scandal swirling around the Veterans Affairs Department.
Addressing the reports of misconduct by VA officials, Obama vowed that he would get to the bottom of the alleged behavior. “If these allegations prove to be true it is dishonorable, it is disgraceful and I will not tolerate it. Period,” he said.
“Taking care of veterans and their families has been one of the causes of my presidency and it is something that all of us have to be involved with and have to be paying attention to,” he claimed.
Obama did not offer particular solutions to the veterans backlog problems, which he explained had gone on for years. He also indicated that he would stand by Shinseki throughout the investigation process.
“You know the responsibility for things always rests ultimately with me as the president and commander in chief,” Obama said, calling Shinseki a “great soldier.”
Obama did not announce Shinseki’s resignation but left the possibility open when questioned by reporters.
“I know Ric’s attitude is that if he does not think he is able to do a good job on this and if he thinks that he let our veterans down then I’m sure that he’s not going to be interested in continuing to serve,” Obama said....

OK, the VA scandal is now old news and can now be labeled another "Phony Scandal. Whew! Now, Dear Leader can get back to his golf game and fund raising.

Veterans, now there’s a demographic he despises and denigrates even more than “We the People” in general.
No surprise, as veterans by definition honorably defended America and her Constitution against the likes of Obama and his ilk. Veterans as a whole, like the Founders themselves, stand witness against Hussein and his foreign and malevolent spirit.
I am certain that this devil vacates the White Hut every chance he gets because even the walls curse his evil presence. Surely he’s convinced that the WH is haunted, but that’s just the Founders kicking his sorry @ss any chance they get. How many times has he tripped over “nothing”? Hope it’s too many times to count.

Yeah, OK. Using my decoder;
“Dishonorable”, “disgraceful”....these are obsolete and inconvenient emotions or moral values or first impressions that must be overcome, comrade, one way or another, on the path to getting your mind right about what is to come.
Saying “period” at the end of a sentence, that means it’s a lie.
“Won’t tolerate” means it’s something 0bama supports but does not want to be seen or known as supporting.
So I take this to mean, he couldn’t care less about the VA situation. He would probably like for it to continue, since there are any number of levels of bureaucrats he can throw under the bus, should it become necessary or desirable....at any time....meaning there is and will be plenty of distraction value all set to go. And that kind of action will make it look like he has done something dramatic when it just means the next nepotistic bureaucrat is lined up and ready to really get down to brass tacks and get to work all kabuki theater style. Overall, this will justify a significant cost expansion since there will of course be a transition period, and lots of those add’l expenditures can be raked off and stuffed into various campaign coffers so that taxpayer money is and will be, as usual, diverted to Dem campaign funds. Nobody will be able to object to any modest increase in VA funding in any future budget and it will be totally opaque anyway, so they can stuff the bag about as full as they want, steal the money, and nobody will ever know.

How can they say it doesn’t stick to him when he was saying in 2007-08 the VA was a disaster, and if anything, it is now worse?
Those who still love him have mental problems. I know that everyone I know who loves him have serious problems. Their defense will be “How do you know he wasn’t trying to fix the problem? It takes time.”
The thing that’s scary is these people KNOW they’re lying but keep right on doing it. I believe that if Obama asked his “followers” to off themselves there would be mass suicides all over the country.

The payoffs and perks must be very good. Just being exempt from the mark of the beast healthcare / citizen registry is probably enough incentive for some...
If he was, in fact, told about this “years ago”, those who told him need to be held accountable for not telling the American people in 2010. They should have come forward and said:
“There are serious problems at the VA and we’re afraid veterans are going to die while waiting for treatment. We told President Obama about this before he took office. He’s had two years to do something yet nothing has been done. We feel it is our duty to report this to the American people. We owe our veterans.”

Well they are one of the major obstacles that stand in the way of Obama’s disarming of America and they do push back...
I use the VA. I have medicare if I want to pay the premium. I was thinking maybe I should sign up. But then, my wife is with Kelsey Seybold. She’s had lower back and abdominal pain for two weeks. A week ago she went to the doctor and they ordered an MRI “stat”. Now she can’t get them to tell her the results. A few years ago she had a kidney blockage and we think this might be the same thing. We’re wondering if Kelsey Seybold’s “death panels” have decided she’s too old to treat.

Waiting for the spies in our midst so say nuh uh and then point out Wilson, LBJ, and Roosevelt as being worse when we know damn well they aren’t even close

I just saw him on TV and managed to control my gag reflex long enough to watch the clip they showed. He looked the furthest thing from upset and mad about this as it’s possible to be. There was no passion in his voice, his eyes nor his gestures. He doesn’t give a damn.
OH, THE HYPOCRISY!
This guy is getting to be a media joke. There was a Dem from Georgia that went through the roof over his anger about this VA mess today. He was pulling no punches that Obama was not doing enough and the Secretary should be fired yesterday if not earlier.
