Two men were killed and at least 26 other people have been injured in shootings across Chicago since Friday night.
The most recent fatal shooting happened about 11:30 p.m. Saturday in the East Garfield Park neighborhood on the West Side.
Kendall Floyd, 20, was in the 3400 block of West Madison Street when someone in a white minivan drove up and fired shots, striking him in his head and chest, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
Floyd, who lived on the same block he was shot, was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where he was pronounced dead just before midnight, the medical examiner’s office said.
Saturday afternoon, a 32-year-old man was killed in the Austin neighborhood.
About 4:30 p.m., Charles Lee, of the 1700 block of North Lotus Avenue was sitting in a vehicle in the 200 block of North Pine Avenue when another vehicle pulled up and someone inside opened fire, striking Lee multiple times on his right side, police said.
He attempted to drive away but crashed, police said. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where he was pronounced dead just after 5 p.m., according to the medical examiner’s office.
The most recent nonfatal shooting occurred on Sunday night in Englewood.
About 10:25 p.m., a 26-year-old man was in the 6500 block of South Union Avenue when an unknown male walked up and opened fire, striking him in the hand, police said. The man walked in to Saint Bernard Hospital and Health Care, police said. He was listed in good condition.
At least 25 other people have been injured in shootings across the city since 9 p.m. Friday.
No one is in custody for any of the shootings as area detectives investigate.
No one knows anything about anything.
There could be 40 witnesses: yet no one saw anything. These are the same people you see marching, protesting and holding vigils calling for an end to violence. Well, that violence will continue as long as good people don’t speak up.

Still early perhaps some will die later. I wonder how many are drive bys, so, perhaps poor aim?

In 2005, offending rates for blacks were more than 7 times higher than the rates for whites
From 1976 to 2005 —
* 86% of white victims were killed by whites
* 94% of black victims were killed by blacks
You have to really see the chart,but black on white homicide is MUCH more than white on black.
From what I’m seeing that’s pretty much status quo across the MSM spectrum. If race is involved, or negative reporting regarding the administration then comments are closed.
It's a shame that so many Americans can't seem to live without drugs. I guess they make the world a better place for their souls. Wrong priorities--just an opinion, folks.
