Sidenote: Naturally resulted in Three Dog Night's second #1 single of 1970 with Hoyt Axton's novelty song. Axton was the son of "Mother" Maybelle Axton who had written a string of hits for Elvis Presley including "Heartbreak Hotel". With their second #1 a smash hit on pop radio, 3DN were firmly ensconced at the top of the American music scene.

Max Stalling~Long Way To Get

Sidenote: Englishman Russ Ballard is most well known as the vocalist on Argent's smash "Hold Your Head Up", but he was a songwriting powerhouse. This was one his best and was the third single from the Naturally album, again cracking the Top 40 and keeping 3DN at the forefront of 1970s power groups.
