Church officials say they will “combat evil” by hosting a positive worship service to counter a Harvard group’s Satanic mass planned for Monday evening. The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Boston will host a Eucharistic procession from MIT to a nearby church for an hour of prayer, The Boston Globe reports. The religious procession will end up at St. Paul’s Parish in Harvard Square, just a 10-minutes walk from the Queen’s Head Pub in Memorial Hall the Harvard Extension Cultural Studies Club is set to hold a “black mass.” A black mass is a ritual performed as a parody of the Roman Catholic Mass. In an official statement, the Archdiocese said it fears that people who partake in the ceremony are “underestimating the power of Satan.” Club members say that they are holding the service for educational purposes, but church officials say that the service is offensive.

The Devil makes people feel good about themselves, I like to think of Satan as the first proponent of self-esteem. The Devil also is the ultimate symbol of giving the middle finger to ultimate authority, something that has been going on for too long in this country.
But God permits the selection of evil and even the worshiping of the father of evil.
If He permits it, who am I to stand in the way.
That said, I would hope my children recognize the inherent danger in attending a black mass...and stay away at all costs.
This is very dangerous stuff...but it is also part and parcel of the liberal politics so prevalent on university campuses today.
One can go to most colleges (even religious colleges like Notre Dame) and find this stuff everywhere.
Does anyone know the exact time this is scheduled happen? I would like to tell my friends about it so we can pray or go to adoration together at the same time it is happening.
Will Catholics who attend this “mass” be automatically excommunicated?

We’ll said, “free will” is the basis of true salvation and serving God. We are born with a free will to serve or not to serve. It is also why all Christians must resist socialism as much as Satan himself.
To be deprived of free will to serve God is as good as being handed to Satan himself. The very nature of socialism deprives man of free will to serve God. The state robs you of any choice in the matter such as in the case of forced wealth redistribution and replaces God with the state itself.
Pay attention. Initial reports were that they would use a consecrated host, but that was soon corrected.
They are not using a consecrated host, at least by every report from this group of night school students.

Satan seeks to remove our free will immediately, whether though confusion or addiction.

God doesn't cheat...he seeks only quality of spirit. He wants us to become the very best we can be. This is His goal for our eternity.
God is the Very Best...and He draws us to that Aspect of Himself. Which is of course, Holiness (i.e. Wholeness).

Harvard is playing with eternal fire...but I think they know it and have chosen it.
Shouldn't we insist that they advertise it to the rest of the world?
Harvard, as in “The President and Fellows of Harvard College,” the entity that governs Harvard University, didn't decide to do this.
Some folks from the night school who have an independent club privately rented the campus bar for the evening and are putting on the show.
