In a break with many in the Republican Party, Mitt Romney says he backs a move to raise the minimum wage.
"I, for instance, as you know, part company with many of the conservatives in my party on the issue of the minimum wage, the 2012 GOP presidential nominee said Friday morning.
"I think we ought to raise it, because frankly, our party is all about more jobs and better pay, and I think communicating that is important to us," Romney added in an interview on MSNBC's "Morning Joe."

romney. free to pander.
Romney is the New McCain.
The loser speaks, no one listens.
He also “parts company” with true conservatism. What a socialist idiot!
I’m almost glad he lost.
Never mind the hundreds of thousands of people who will no longer have a job at all.
The dems are going to have no one to run. They should take a look at this lib
Dems are allowed to exalt wealthy white guys. Plus he thinks like them
The big-government/big-corporate crony-fascist complex likes a high minimum wage because it eliminates competition from pesky small businesses.
this is just proof that the DC insiders have no clue about the real world. They see outside the NYC/Beltway as a serf zone and the insiders are out benevolent aristocrat oligarch rulers.
We’ve been here before, on both opinions.

Etch-a-sketch principles.
I believe that if you are going to get socialism, may as well get the full measure instead of socialism lite.
Oh yeah. Every time he speaks, the Rubio’s lose more conservatives in their pres voter pool
Seems like he’s really trying to pay penance for his 47% comment by appearing sympathetic to liberal causes. This way he can run for president again.
Is this the same Mitt Romney who, while at Bain, used to go into companies and cut salaries and other costs to turn bankrupt companies back into viable businesses? I guess its just not that important to create viable turn-around and start up companies anymore.
BUT.
The polls show the vast majority of US citizens want to raise the minimum wage.
If the job of our representatives in government is to represent our views, shouldn't they support policies “such as this” that the vast majority want, if if we personally disagree with them?
he has always been sympathetic and supportive of lefty causes. It is conservatism he has to fake
Philosophically tone deaf.
You ought to STFU, Mitt.
