Basketball legend Michael Jordan says that he considered himself a racist when he was a teenager and was against all white people.
The confession comes from a new book, Michael Jordan: The Life, by Ronald Lazenby.
Jordan said the Ku Klux Klan was dominant in North Carolina where he grew up in the mid-1970s, buying uniforms for sports teams and bibles for schools.

At least he admits it — and doesn’t behind the phony sophistry of “racists are only those who are in power” nonsense.

(This is not a statement of fact. It is either opinion or satire; or both.)

In a league where the majority of players are African American, we cannot and must not tolerate discrimination at any level Well, alrighty then Mr. Jordan. Your team is discriminating and the league is discriminating. It's not at all representative of America.

I don’t know, but Jordan is it just me or has Jordan really lost it? Came out of retirement and made a bad joke out of the Washington Wizards, would have been smarter to just stick to coaching them. If he could just relax, he might actually have a chance of being a little better remembered.

"Jordan got remarried last year. His second wife, Yvette Prieto, a Cuban-American model, gave birth to identical twin girls in February."

Why would you want to silence a man for what is clearly an honest statement?

I was really rebelling. I considered myself a racist at the time. Basically, I was against all white people.

Will there be racist audio tapes of Michael Jordan, NBA owner?
To: ConservativeStatement
Interesting. Aren’t we fortunate that MJ wasn’t banned from the NBA due to his (previously) racist views? I wager Donald Sterling will not get a similar pass.

Interesting. Arent we fortunate that MJ wasnt banned from the NBA due to his (previously) racist views? I wager Donald Sterling will not get a similar pass. You don't understand. Michael Jordan wasn't "previously racist." What he said was "he considered himself a racist when he was a teenager."
"Considering yourself a racist" is NOT the same as having BEEN a racist.
What he has learned is that he was mistaken as a teenager - he was NOT a racist, because he is black. And black people cannot be racists, by definition, because they are oppressed, by definition, and therefore are justified in their hatred of whites, by definition.
And if this sounds strange or illogical or unfair or insane to you - then it's because you are white, inherently racist, and by definition cannot understand it because of your permanant, inbred, racism.
No, I'm not exaggerating. I'm quoting chapter and verse from what college students (and now high school and younger students) are taught in their "sensitivity" classes - under extreme duress and social threats.
