Speaker of the House John Boehner has ordered the establishment of a new special committee to investigate the 2012 attacks on Americans in Benghazi — but some liberals don’t want any Democrats to take part in the hearings.
“Member of Congress told me she will urge Nancy Pelosi to appoint NO Democrats to Special Benghazi Committee,” liberal talk radio host Bill Press wrote on Twitter on Monday. “She’s right!”
On Monday, Boehner announced that he is tapping South Carolina Rep. Trey Gowdy to serve as chairman of the select committee hearings.
“With four of our countrymen killed at the hands of terrorists, the American people want answers, accountability, and justice,” Boehner said Monday. “Trey Gowdy is as dogged, focused, and serious-minded as they come.”
Boehner has long resisted calls from members of his party to establish a select committee — he has said the investigations going on in other committees are adequate — but said last week he decided a select committee was needed after determining that the Obama administration had withheld documents from a congressional subpoena....

The Republicans would be smart to pursue the military aspect of this day. As a vet I know that you never leave your fellowman behind. There was a reason that these men did not count. Veterans and military belong to both parties and will be interested more if they knew that they left these men when they could have possibly saved them. The least they should have done was tried.
