Thnx Mr. President!
Thats what former MSNBC anchor Dylan Ratigan had to say to President Obama in a tweet earlier today.
He was saying it sarcastically. You know, like when you say thanks a lot! to someone who bumps into you in the hallway, causing you to spill your coffee all over your clothes.
But Mr. Ratigan experienced something far worse than a coffee spill. His health insurance premiums are skyrocketing thanks to the hilariously named Affordable Care Act.
What happened? Well, for starters, Ratigan had catastrophic health insurance coverage. That means that he sees himself as pretty healthy and is willing to pay out-of-pocket for routine medical expenses. However, if he gets hit by the proverbial beer truck and ends up with tens of thousands of dollars in medical bills, hes covered.
That was under his old plan, which cost him $170 per month.
His old plan, of course, wasnt good enough for President Obama. Yes, this is the same President Obama who promised everyone with a straight face that they could their existing health insurance under his new health care law.
Ratigan found out, much like millions of others are finding out, that the President lied when he made that promise.
Now, Ratigans new health insurance premium is $600 per month.
Thnx Mr. President!
We might almost feel sorry for the guy if he wasnt a former MSNBC host who used to berate Republican guests.
Now, he is learning the hard way that those Republicans were promoting ideas that would save him, and millions of other Americans, a lot of money.
Hey, some people learn the hard way.
No. Insurance premiums aren’t taxes and they aren’t deductible from your income taxes.
The tax you pay for not having insurance is a tax. And you can’t deduct that either.
I guess we really shouldn’t be surprised. Thanks.
Another “bit” of interest. Dan was on Fast Money on CNBC with Eric Bolling.
The insurance is not a tax, just the penalty if you don’t buy insurance.
So, no real benefit there, as the penalty/tax is not that high.
I love it when Commies get the karma they deserve..what these idiots want is single payer, Pukelosi has already blamed the debacle of Obamacare on not having a single payer system
My benchmark lib actually stated out loud, as if it were absurd to think differently
“it’s not some attempt to control you, they’re just trying to make it work for everyone”.
This was in response to our discussion about OTC medicines being excluded from the ability to pay through an FSA.
Yes, I am aware of the many ulterior motives of the ACA. I was just dealing with the one Ratigan was talking about at the moment.
The ACA is the largest takeover of private industry in our history, among other things. It is part of a system of total control of the populace.
Freegards.
From the Barack Side to the Dark Side: Now release your anger.
Hey, Dylan: If you like being an a-hole, you can keep being an a-hole. Period.
Bump
And then after he stammered a bit he said “Well God bless the U.S. of A!”
Or maybe Dylan Ratigan doesn't know the first rule of MSNBC is 'thou shalt kiss the butt of all democrats'... Time will tell which one it is...
“For tis the sport to have the engineer / Hoist with his own petard.”
If you like being a useful idiot, you can keep being a useful idiot...
until you’re wondering “why am I standing against this pockmarked wall with a blindfold on, and, no, I don’t want a cigarette, smoking’s bad for you”.
He probably still will be paying for all his routine medical expenses. I’m sure he has a high deductible as well.
Most morons I know that signed up for Obamacare are now crying that they are paying for insurance plus ALL their medical expenses because they have high deductibles. Guess they thought having health insurance meant that everything was FREE!
I’d laugh, but it’s not funny for everyone else.
Stupid is as stupid does.
Stupid is as stupid votes.
