Jodielynn Wiley faced being turned out on the street a few weeks ago when her time at the Dallas Salvation Army was nearing an end.
Wiley, a transgender woman who fled from death threats based on her gender identity in Paris, Texas, in February, was staying at the Carr P. Collins Social Service Center off Harry Hines Boulevard since leaving the conservative and dangerous town. She received an extension on her stay until she could be placed in a housing program.
But when an opportunity came up to place her in a two-year housing program with Salvation Army, she said she was told she didn’t qualify because she hasn’t had gender reassignment surgery.
Wiley was meeting with her case worker and a counselor on April 17 to discuss her options before her exit date of April 21. She was told about the longer program and then asked if she had undergone the surgery.

The guy seems able-bodied (so to speak) and reasonably healthy. Why did he need shelter in the first place? Could he not afford his own apartment or shack up with some progressive-minded LGBTQ person in Paris or Dallas? Why should he receive a two-year housing program in the first place?
I think if someone wants to move into a castle in the sky, he ought to be required to pay for it himself. Or is this one of tose “test” cases special interest groups so love to pursue in order to force others to accommodate their fantasies?

I don’t believe anyone threatened HIM.
I’ve met a couple of “Transgenders” and they strike me as psychotic. I simply don’t believe they received death threats. They make it up to validate their fears
I blame it on the doctors who do this for the right price and a government which condones it.. The same thing with abortions.

I saw one of those at Lockheed Martin in New Jersey. He/she had a beard and wore a dress. We had to go to a three hour class on diversity for this freak. He/she had his/her own bathroom.

I think it is simpler than that.
They don’t put humans with male sexual organs in the women’s housing, no matter how the male dresses.

I may be off base, but here is what I have observed about some gay men and some transgenders.
They want to be women but don’t know how. They perceive women in a completely convoluted way- see Tootsie. There is a scene where Dustin Hoffman is trying to be feminine, just listening to Jessica Lange talk and is completely awkward just trying to figure out what to do with his hands. It is effortless for me to exude femininity by twirling a strand of my hair, absentmindedly chewing my nails or dangling my strappy sandal by my toes. I may not even know I have done it but someone who is faking this looks like they are faking it and no amount of practice will make it look like they were born to do it.
Some don’t see women as full time moms or daughters or full time employees. Women attract men and the wannabees only see the parts of women that do that- faces, mannerisms, hair, sexual orifices.
Most of the gay men I have worked with WERE great. But, two were violent psychopaths who HATED women. H A T E D.
My thoughts- those two failed as men. They thought that they could easily slide into a woman’s role but didn’t have the faintest idea on how do do that other than to offer their sexual orifice, which is all they thought that women had to do to attract a man.
It is sad.
Putting a biological male in a woman’s shelter puts them at risk of rape, since he has the plumbing - and violates their right to privacy.
Putting a male who is half way transformed to female puts IT at risk of rape by full males.
The only solutions for the Salvation Army are:
* pay for a separate housing facility for people as confused as this
* pay for a hotel for it, so it isn’t in a main shelter
* put it in a psychiatric institute for gender dimorphic disorder until it decides it is actually the gender it was born OR has surgery to become female in plumbing
* deny all assistance
Yes I wondered if they really were getting into this type of activity as I had always thought of them as a Christian org. What is disturbing is that HOUSTON has a similar ordinance set to FORCE upon us with another City Hall pop off session on Tuesday. Get there at noon if you want to join the fray to fight back against this ordinance. Call City secretary in advance to speak 3 mins. Its the EQUAL RIGHTS ORDINANCE.....WARRIORS NEEDED.
There is no such thing as transformed to female, period. It is not possible except in science fiction. He is and always will be male.
Tell him to cut the pansy shit and get a job.
