Former Deputy CIA Director Mike Morell is sworn recently by the House Select Intelligence Committee. "The analysts said from the get-go that al-Qaida was involved in (the Benghazi) attack," Morell testified.
Why is Benghazi important to Americans?
You'll hear a lot about Benghazi in coming days and you'll hear the familiar screeching of partisan politics, now that House Speaker John Boehner has decided to convene a select committee to investigate the 2012 terrorist attack in that dusty fly-bitten town in Libya.
If the past is any guide, you'll hear Republican righteous vindictiveness and Democratic mockery and defensiveness. There will be so many politicians jabbering into microphones, so many practiced mouths curled into what is supposed to look like spontaneous anger, that you'll see right through much of it.
And then many of you will be tempted to turn away and tune out. That's to be expected. Some of the politicos are counting on just that. They're betting on it, and you should probably figure that some of the screaming isn't designed to inform but to turn you off to the whole thing.
One of the problems is that many Republicans have used Benghazi as a club. And many Democrats have shrieked that it was all about nothing. So much noise.
So little light, until very recently, when a few previously hidden White House emails were made public and things changed.
But first, remember that four Americans died there in Benghazi: Ambassador Christopher Stevens, U.S. State Department computer specialist Sean Smith and former Navy SEALs Glen Doherty and Tyrone Woods.
They weren't murdered because they were Democrats or Republicans. They were murdered because they were Americans...

The US has a policy of not heeding demands of kidnappers and to change that just before an election would have weakened everyone’s perception of this bunch of bozos even more. Then there would have been questions about the lack of security. I think it was just to get the ambassador released so Bam and Hill could look good on foreign policy at election time.
Nixon lied, and covered up about a burglary he ordered to an office staffed by Democrats: Nixon resigned, rather that choosing to submit to an Impeachment Trial. Nobody died.
Bill Clinton lied and was Impeached. Vince Foster and Ron Armstrong died.
B. Hussein lied, was AWOL, covered up and is proud of it. Four of his employees were brutally murdered, while Obama slept like a baby.
Remember how Hillary constantly referred to “Chris” in her acting debut?
IIRC, the administration bought a crapload of 7.62X39 ammo, too. That’s AK fodder, not AR feed. I wonder how much of it ended up over there?
Why not? Other than a little noise, nothing will happen. Hillary is going to continue to lie. Obama will continue to lie. The media will continue to lie and cover for Obama and Hillary. The Republican Party will continue to be spineless, though I am leaning toward that they are more co conspirators than cowards. They can fool their sheep better if the concept is that they are cowards rather than co-conspirators is floated.
In your opinion, when will four dead Americans, including the Ambassador, "not matter"?
These are opinions, not facts....but it seems to tie together.
I could be wrong, but I believe that Trey Gowdy is only a Representative from South Carolina, not a prosecutor.
Watergate proved that the hildebeast does not consider the law something she has to follow. She and slick willy were a match.
Not one of these b@st@rds thinks the law applies to them.
And Hillary wants the Presidency to be her reward for her actions...or NON-actions.
Is this operation real?

“Dude, its been two years.”
Of course I am being sarcastic.
I think that they WILL focus on the BS end of this story and NOT address the real story (guns for terrorists) for years.
It will come out long after Obama is gone, these wars are over (not the wars that start up soon after), and there are just too many dead people to worry about four Americans.
I share your outrage. I am more cynical about whether those responsible for their deaths are brought to justice.
