A CHEERFUL HEART IS GOOD MEDICINE

Proverbs 17:22

A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.

Which came first the chicken or the egg? We may never know the answer to this question, but when it comes to living a fulfilled life, the joy precedes the good feelings. As a matter of fact, the joy is the antidote to the woes of life. Humor is great medicine. Humor helps us to see the big picture. It provides us with a new context by which to view our situation. It gives us a different vantage point which we can use to reevaluate life. Humor gives us reasons to feel good!

My prayer today is that we find humor in all of life.

Well, the wedding reception I have to deal with tonight is a widow and widower. He is a grade #1 @$$hole and was the city manager and then mayor several years ago. If they stay until 11:01, I’ll write them up for leaving after 11PM and get the POA to fine them an additional $250 late fees. He is one of the few dims we have here and I never figure how he got elected.

Almost 11pm in Texas....wondering if the reception folks are going to be packed and out on time.

Actually, they got out a bit early. Got home right at 11 PM. I didn’t post that he ran as an (I) and then as unaffiliated the two times he ran for city manager and mayor.

When he ran for reelection, he put the dreaded (d) behind his name in our precinct. He lost by about 75% to 25% the next election. We just despise dims here.
