Friday was training day for several dozen Las Vegas Metro officers. The topic: busting underage drinking parties.
Police say underage drinking costs Nevada taxpayers about $607 million each year. In addition to traffic fatalities and other accidents, the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention has linked underage drinking to homicides, sexual assaults, larceny and auto theft.

Woo hoo!! And the first 39% is in!! Thank you all very much!! |
Naw, back in the day the ole sheriiiiiif used to just show up at the keggers and shoot holes in all of them. Finally got to where not one liquor store would let more than one keg at a time go.
Like I said, back in the day.
Boo-hoo, I'm cryin' in my beer.
True. For example, God made Liberals to instill a sense of wonder in normal people.
We will always wonder what the hell is wrong with them ;)
Actually on your first point, that’s why society is devolving. All the stupid people that would have logf since joined the choir invisible are nannystate coddled and remain in the gene pool. The result is that as they breed, the stupid passes down another generation.
The natural order is thus disrupted.
This ain’t the day.
This ain’t the day.
Alcohol, the all time “gateway” drug.
Another kegger I responded to with a Reserve Officer was in the sand dunes. The Reserve was nervous and not sure that we could handle the large crowd that was there. I said it would be easy.
As we got to the top of the dune, I hollored "This is the Police". "Your all under arrest". The kids all ran to which ever car was cloest and took off. There was a couple that were trying to carry the kegs but I convinced them to leave them. The Reserve started chasing some kids, but I got him to stop, and explained to him that that was not the purpose of this.
And that is how we handled "Underaged Drinking Parties" when I was an Officer. I'm not sure how much it cost? But I don't think it cost the combined budgets of the 6 Depts in the area $200M.

Our parents gave a crap. Many of today's parents don't.
If it is warranted to take them to jail, then take them to jail. If it isn’t keep them there for a bit and release them. I’m sure the IDs could be recorded and repeat offenses judged on that.
To see them on the ground clearly not a threat, and this guy walking down the line spraying them, not really buying it.
Not many guys like that still around, I know of only one.
It was no harm except for the guy that paid all the deposits on the kegs. Got kinda expensive.
Fun days they were.
2. We will always wonder what the hell is wrong with them ;)
I won't wonder because I worked with liberals my entire 44 year career. We left certain topics alone because they KNEW that I had The Answers to their liberal-speak. We ended up working together very well, all understanding me and vica versa.
Not to worry.
The human race has not changed ONE iota since the beginning of the human race. We are NOT any better, nor worse, any nicer, nor meaner, any smarter, nor more stupid. Exactly the same.
What IS different is that there are SO many more of us. In 1800 there were 1 billion people on the planet. Now there are, what, six billion plus?
So it SEEMS that the natural order is disrupted because of SO MANY more folks around. More people DOES equal MORE idiots. There are more smarter folks around but somehow they don't SCREAM out at me like the stupids do.
Abraham Lincoln once said that folks' behavior can be modified to some extent but human nature cannot be changed. I guess he would know.

In other "government would never lie to you" news, The Bureau of Labor Statistics tells us that in 20% Of American families, everyone is unemployed, and that the unemployment rate dropped precipitously to 6.3%.
