Cantor: Lois Lerner Contempt Vote Set for Next Thursday

The Republican-controlled House will hold a contempt vote next Thursday on embattled former IRS supervisor Lois Lerner, Majority Leader Eric Cantor says.

If the legislators vote to hold Lerner in contempt, it will be the most serious step taken by lawmakers in the controversy surrounding the Internal Revenue Service's targeting of conservative, tea party and religious groups.

And if Obama allows it Christmas is scheduled for “sometime in December.” Am I the only one who is sick to death of this charade? The GOPe uses talk of arresting Lerner like the Democrats use the word “racist.” Both no what they are saying is meaningless and neither cares.
The next story I want to hear about is the one where Lerner IS arrested. Until then who cares what they say?

Think about the way that was worded. A contempt citation from the House should be taken seriously, not treated as illegitimate because the body is controlled by this party or that. But this is where we are politically.
