los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling is battling cancer, sources have confirmed to ESPN.com.
The news was first reported by the New York Post.
The Post, citing sources, reported that the 80-year-old Sterling has been battling prostate cancer for an extended period of time.
Sterling was banned for life from the NBA and fined $2.5 million by commissioner Adam Silver earlier in the week after racist remarks he made were published by TMZ. Silver has urged the league's owners to force a sale of the Clippers, which they can do with approval from three-fourths of the league's 30 owners.

If 3/4 of the NBAs 30 owners do not vote to strip Sterling of his team, and in particular if the sale dioes NOT gow to Oprah Winfrey, the whole self proclaimed “black league” will go on strike and then leave to form their own league. The NBA will then be no more.
Racist politics swing both ways. Black nationalism is very real and is here now. America is polarized.
He should bequeath the team to the nation of Israel. See how everyone reacts.
The true racists would be exposed then. The president could be asked for his opinion too.
There may not have been any actual "bopping" in Sterling's arrangement with V-Dot. Based on his comments, it's likely that he wanted her around to make him look like what he no longer was - virile.
Sterling's wife seems more concerned with the $$$$ that the old man showered on the trollop than any "relationship" there, which I though oddly mercenary. Now it makes sense.
Isn't she the one who announced "N-words in the house! N-words in the house!" over her public address system when her father and stepmother visited her?
She's marinated in something pretty vile herself.
