In light of leaked emails regarding the 2012 Benghazi attack, White House Press Secretary Jay Carney and Fox News White House correspondent Ed Henry went head-to-head during Thursdays press briefing. At one point, the press secretary took a jab at the reporter and his employer. After Henry questioned Carney over why the Ben Rhodes-authored emails focused on an anti-Islamic video rather than the terrorism aspect of the deadly siege, the press secretary remarked that the CIA-produced talking points at the time referred to protests at the Benghazi consulate as being inspired by similar demonstrations outside the American embassy in Cairo. What inspired

Retired Military Official: We Knew Benghazi Attacks Attributable to Terrorist Group, Not Video
Michael Warren
May 1, 2014
A retired military officer serving in the U.S.’s Africa Command headquarters in Germany told the House oversight committee Thursday that it was his belief at the time that the September 11, 2012, attack on the American consulate in Benghazi, Libya was attributable to an Islamic extremist group and not an internet video.
Robert Lovell was an brigadier general with the Air Force, stationed in Germany, when four Americans were killed in Benghazi. In his congressional testimony, Lovell said that his role was to focus on “attribution” of the attack.
“What do you believe they were attributable to?” asked Utah Republican congressman Jason Chaffetz.
“That they were attributable to an Islamist extremist group,” Lovell responded.
“Al Qaeda?” Chaffetz asked.
“We felt it was Ansar al Sharia,” said Lovell.
“Which is affiliated with al Qaeda?” Chaffetz asked.
“Yes,” said Lovell.

Lovell also said that the attack was not attributable to a video or protests arising from such a video.
I pay Jay Carney’s salary. You pay Jay Carney’s salary. Obama and the Democrat party do NOT pay Jay Carney’s salary. I expect and demand that my employee tell the truth and behave in a professional manner. If he can’t, then out with him.
Frankly, I wouldn’t call that a ‘heated exchange’ at all. I would call that a reporter doing his dang job and pushing on the administrative machine to provide better answers. Carney is still not being honest.
psssssstttt....
I think what you meant was 'bold-faced liar'.
I would like to bust out Carney’s teeth.
I blame Bush for not prosecuting a lot of the Clinton gang. It has caused this group to get really brazen, cocky, and built their feelings of invincibility.
the next president really needs to go after the criminals and not just do a forgive and move on. If he/she doesn’t, the next leftist scum will go further than this admin.
I would like to see the press yelling back at him and calling him a GD liar!
He tried to shame them when it turns out they were ACCURATE and he was lying
Maybe one day after he loses his job in 2016, Carney will realize just how much he has harmed America by pimping and covering for the infirmative action, pathological liar of a boss he has ... then again, maybe not.
Webster’s Pocket Dictionary:
baldfaced = shameless
Nahhh...it will be the key that opens the door to a multi-million dollar contract at CBS News.
Jonah Goldberg called him that too, today.
