Mark Levin went after NRO writer Patrick Brennan for taking cheap shots at Sarah Palin over her NRA speech this weekend.
(snip)
Levin points out that Sarah Palin is out there breaking her neck trying to get conservatives elected and trying to keep the base strong and shes dismissed by people on our side.
This is how our side treats our side, Levin adds. Youll never seen the left or Democrats do that to a woman on their side ever!

So you’d rather that Mark let them get away with their backstabbing?

My side is "we the people". The FedGov side of Beltway insiders is not my side, at least not to the extent that they support ObamaCare, Amnesty, or other big government policies that harm We the People and violate the Constitution of the United States. Sarah Palin stands for freedom and individual liberty, and RINOs are exactly like Obama voters in the sense that they hate those concepts.

I have always supported Palin, but her attacking Christianity and saying what she did put her in league with secular leftists. I hope she rethinks this direction.

So how did Palin attack Christianity?

You mean the quip about “baptizing” terrorists?
I aver this needs to be viewed in the context of accusations that the “religious Right” is wanting to “impose Christianity on the world by force.” Which it is not, or at least ought not, because that is never how the kingdom of God advances. She’s kidding about “baptism” here, as though it needed spelling out. It does not cease to mean what it always meant.

So youd rather that Mark let them get away with their backstabbing? Don't put words in my mouth...I hope he browbeats the hell out of them...however; the GOP-e is NOT on 'our side'...they are DEMOCRATS (for all intents and purposes) in Republican clothing...they laugh behind the backs of conservatives.

Since Mr Buckley’s Day, NR has gone downhill quite a bit. Like the GOPe they are embarrassed by social conservatives.

Patrick Brennan also works as a part-time assistant for Wall Street Journal columnist Peggy Noonan.
And like Jason Lee Steorts, is another pseudo-right "pajama boy".

So true. They look at conservatives as a bunch of rubes and simpletons not to be associated with. The GOPe wants to sit at the cool kids table and be part of the cool crowd with the liberals. We’ve always been hated by the establishment and since Palin is one of the most vocal and visible conservatives they will attack her with full fury.

So you never heard of a baptism of fire? Sheesh.
Nothing she said was sacrilegious unless you’re completely humorless.
To: nickcarraway
"...attacking Christianity and saying what she did..."
Disagree.
The term "baptism", in Christian parlance means an outward sign of an inward grace, but in generic terms simply means: "a trying or purifying experience or initiation", (like "baptism under fire").
I think Sarah Palin knows the difference, and most of us should, too.

So how did Palin attack Christianity? I assume her comment equating waterboarding with baptism.
