Gov. Rick Perry (RTexas) weighed in on former Florida Gov. Jeb Bushs contentious comments about illegal immigration, expressing sympathy for those who broke laws to take care of their family.

GOP sure seems hell bent on destroying its old base and manufacturing...an even bigger base for the democrat party.
These guys are just so friggin’ worthless.
He’ll never look that good in person or in spirit.
Indeed he has. Note, they are ready to attack Perry's detractors but cannot and have not attempted to defend his throwing his support behind the man who has declared war in the TEA Party, Mitch McConnell. Note also, the most vocal Perry supporter in this thread managed to completely avoid this thread and others like it. And he has the temerity to ask me why I would attack a "good man"?
Fish in a barrel, my FRiend. Fish in a barrel.
lol! Good one!
Good! another one bites the dust
Man... remember the cat-fight wars before the elections.. >.<
I can still remember the jack-boot supporters of the RINOs from back then ..
I totally understand about people breaking a law to take care of their family, particularly when the country whose law youre breaking has for forty years basically said, come on over, dont worry about it, Perry said on Fox News.
Perry said that since all of a sudden the rules [got] changed after the 9/11 terrorist attacks, We have to stand up and truthfully say that that was the message all too often.
A bunch of folks on FR jumped all over Bundy w/o having a clue, except that as printed, it sounded like he screwed up. And now they jump on Perry w/o a clue other than the headline.
"Our side" doesn't have to eliminate themselves from the running - we will do it to ourselves and in sure that the Left keeps on winning. I'm starting to think we have a death wish so we never have to worry about something to complain about.
How about the illegals who loot tens of millions from Texas taxpayers every year in food stamps, rent subsidies, free education of their children, free medical care and the huge cost to the judicial and penal systems? And the carnage on our highways because Mexicans drive drunk every weekend, killing innocent citizens. They are not worth it. Mow your own dam* lawn.
My ID SS card was sold to a man named Jose Macias. Apparently he lives at my home because I get mail for him from time to time. Fortunately I had medical debts so my credit did not allow him to borrow money via my card. Tell me again why this is ok behavior and that Mr. Perry is a good guy when he supports this criminal behavior.
I won’t vote for him. Period. I won’t vote for anyone who supports amnesty. Where is the compassion for Americans who have lost their jobs to illegal aliens who use stolen IDs? Wages are in the toilet because we are overrun with ILLEGAL aliens.
How about the politicians that encourage the illegals to come and take jobs that hardworking Americans need to feed their families? Is that also an act of love?
If I were you, I’d go out and borrow money under HIS name, or a car, or something. :o)
You can chalk it all up to identity theft. (I’m assuming you’ve already had a police report done on it, right?)
you overlook the fact that when many came, we were beyond full employment and all that wanted to work had jobs.
trebb, I didn’t support Perry the last time he ran because of his support for amnesty. That was 2012, 11 YEARS AFTER 911. Now he’s claiming that 911 has changed everything, insinuating that he has had a change of heart?
Yes, he was pushing amnesty then, and he was pushing Gardasil on our children. This isn’t a new headline for Perry.
Why do you think so many are against him as a nominee? You disparage us by insinuating we fell for 1 headline. You claim we haven’t read the article. We have, we simply don’t believe him. We’re smart, we’re knowledgeable and nobody’s fools. Stop insulting our intelligence.
Even then, their presence pushed down wages for American workers.
He does seem to be. But what does that have to do with the discussion? Rick Perry defended Jeb Bush's pro-invasion sentiments and exhibits them himself and did that forced Ghardisil fiasco. I'd never vote for him or any other pro-invasion candidate. The proper response to any of this is "enforce the laws we have before any changes are made".
Yep. He appears to have disappeared. No one can find him. I googled him. Not an upstanding character. I don’t have the money to waste on criminal record sites. He’s there. It costs money to find out exactly what his crimes were.
“These are PURELY political statements by candidates”
Your statement made me laugh because it is so true. Somewhere in Proverbs it says that a wise man does not loudly announce what is in his heart. Obama, on the other hand, actually does and did—what you see and hear is what you actually get. Rand Paul tends to make me think he is like Obama—he actually believes his inane pronouncements.
I wrote that “a wise man does not loudly announce what is in his heart.” I should have used “not loudly announce ALL that is in his heart.”
...”Another one bites the dust....”
Actually this guy did that a few years ago—now he’s confirmed he’s as clueless as before. Buh-bye. Hey Rick, maybe you and Jeb could take in some illegals to your houses and set them up—maybe Al Gork can sublease one of his 3-4 houses to them. Think of all the love.......
What Perry said is who could blame them?
DC has been giving them the green light for 40 years.
That is not the same as saying he is giving them the green light.
