Glenn Beck criticized Cliven Bundy’s comments on race on his radio program Thursday, saying the Nevada rancher is “unhinged from reality” and urging his supporters to “end your relationship” with him.
“He’s often wondered if black people would be better of as slaves?” Beck said on his program, after reading from Bundy’s comments on race reported by The New York Times. “End your relationship. End your relationship. If that doesn’t end your relationship with him, you have to go back and question where did you go wrong. You wondered if blacks were better off as slaves picking cotton and having a family life? They didn’t have a family life!”
The radio host and former Fox News contributor had previously urged conservatives not to align too closely with Bundy. Earlier this month, he warned that the standoff between Bundy and the federal government had brought in “violent, anti-government groups.”
Beck in particular zeroed in on Bundy’s comments about “family life” during slavery. “If he really thinks that slaves had a family life, just that shows you how unhinged from reality this guy is,” Beck said. “You’ve got to distance yourself, you must know who you are standing next to at all times.”

Bundy has a right to be racist and with those comments he proved it. Beck is right.
The focus should not be on an old cowpuncher, but on HARRY REID and the federal government.
I seem to remember reporters claiming they hear racist things from Tea Partiers when Pelosi and the CBC walked through the crowd to sign Obamacare.

Just a guess that they got Bundy to discuss the current plight of black Americans, then got him to make a stupid comparison to slavery days.
There is no apt comparison. Slavery days were bad. Current situation is bad but not slavery. And not for the same reasons.
They are Mormons. It DID come out of Harry Reid’s mouth. If not directly, then by way of SLC.
People can claim bigotry all they want. The church operates/operated in exactly that way since day 1.
Glen Beck entire persona is all an act and sadly millions have bought into it and made him VERY rich. His former studio engineer called into the "Opie and Anthony" show a while back and talked about how he worked for Beck when he was just your average radio disc jockey. He said that Beck quickly realized that political talk radio was where the money was and set out to create a conservative radio persona for himself. He said, in reality, up to that point Beck was just about the most politically disinterested person he knew and never expressed any real political views one way or the other, publically or privately, and was only interested in making money.
I’d be interested to know how many Blaze TV subscribers Beck’s lost since his attacks on Bundy and his supporters.

My mother grew up in the later 1800s. I heard her say, “Blacks are okay in their place.” That is how it was then. She had no problem with blacks but did consider them in a lower class than whites. Pretty much, so did everyone else. I wasn't around blacks as schools were segregated then. I didn't know them so I was neutral about them. Mom also hated Jews as she would say, “They killed Christ.” I didn't know any Jews so I was neutral about them. I didn't accept her views about either race after I was older and met these people. I realized her opinions were from an earlier time.

Could this be the real reason that Rush Limbaugh and other conservative leaders have been conspicuous in their absence on this issue? Rush has pretty good intuition.
I read some of what the NYT has written about Bundy’s own words and think it would be better for him to shut up despite the fact that he can say whatever he wants. He’s hurting his case in the court of public opinion....not that it should matter.
This doesn’t change what the BLM is doing - what this entire fascist administration is doing.
