After Bundy's overtly racist remarks, let's see how far politicians run away from him.
The New York Times has overheard Cliven Bundythe Nevada rancher who, instead of paying decades of overdue grazing fees, met the Bureau of Land management with guns and a small militiasaying this:
"I want to tell you one more thing I know about the Negro," he said. Mr. Bundy recalled driving past a public-housing project in North Las Vegas, "and in front of that government house the door was usually open and the older people and the kids and there is always at least a half a dozen people sitting on the porch they didn't have nothing to do. They didn't have nothing for their kids to do. They didn't have nothing for their young girls to do.
"And because they were basically on government subsidy, so now what do they do?" he asked. "They abort their young children, they put their young men in jail, because they never learned how to pick cotton. And I've often wondered, are they better off as slaves, picking cotton and having a family life and doing things, or are they better off under government subsidy? They didn't get no more freedom. They got less freedom."
Expect every politician to back away from the issue.
"His remarks on race are offensive and I wholeheartedly disagree with him," Sen. Rand Paul said in a statement Thursday morning.

Just for the record, to place the comments in context, this is how the alleged remarks came about:
"I want to tell you one more thing I know about the Negro," he said. Mr. Bundy recalled driving past a public-housing project in North Las Vegas, "and in front of that government house the door was usually open and the older people and the kids and there is always at least a half a dozen people sitting on the porch they didn't have nothing to do. They didn't have nothing for their kids to do. They didn't have nothing for their young girls to do.
“Taken just a bit out of context for the whole video, but there nonetheless.”
Taken a little out of context? Just a little?
He was asking why his black, Mexican, Chinese etc brothers weren’t there with him. He said they are just as American as everyone here.
And after the part the NYT clipped out to smear him, Bundy goes on to talk about how Mexicans are harder working, and more family oriented than whites.
In context he said nothing close to being racist!
Don't know about you FRiend, but I am getting to the point that I almost can't wait for the STHF!
“...They baited him and they got it. ...”
and
“..The Bundy family should have known better than to grant an interview with anyone with NYT credentials...?”
How so? Think of it this way, and maybe it makes more sense:
They’re simple Americans, trying to live their lives, and probably NOT very savvy dealing with liberal swine. They’ve been assaulted and are probably just wanting someone to hear THEIR side of the story, probably assuming that others have good intentions as well.
Naive? Yes. But to me, they’re just decent American folk under assault, and no matter WHAT they say or do at this point, the fact is they stood up to Leviathan, and Leviathan is looking for payback, and has dispatched his groupies to help him find that payback.
I’m hoping people are informing him and the family of how his words are being twisted and he will make a public statement to defend himself against the slander.
“...Good luck trying to demonize him....”
They will try.
And that is why we should just as forcefully defend the gentleman and his family.
“...Hardly justifies shooting his cattle and threatening his family...”
Absolutely and unequivocally agree with you.
Why is it “racist” to say they (blacks) never learned to pick cotton? Let’s look at the definition:
racist:
1) The belief that race accounts for differences in human character or ability and that a particular race is superior to others.
2) Discrimination or prejudice based on race.
prejudice:
1) An adverse judgment or opinion formed beforehand or without knowledge or examination of the facts.
2) A preconceived preference or idea.
3) The act or state of holding unreasonable preconceived judgments or convictions.
I don’t see racism in Mr. Bundy’s comments, but I could be wrong. Please explain why his comparison is racist. In what way did he claim blacks were an inferior race or make an observation that wasn’t based on fact?
“...Our side fails to read the card of politically correct phases and we are toasted...”
True that, but I think the better reaction, instead of worrying about it, is for our side to grow a pair and tell the other side to “Go F**** Yourself” every time they spin up.
We have too many within our ranks that worry about a stupid word that the communist left has made up to use as a weapon.
Words only have the power we give them, and people only have the power over you that you are willing to LET them have.
As far as SHTF... I hear you. That will - or won’t - happen regardless of what we want. That’s in God’s hands. That choice has already been pre-ordained, one way or the other.
Whatever part we each have to play in the larger drama, we play it. That’s why we’re here, now. Same as our folks and grandfolks were during WWI, WWII, etc...
Evil doesn’t sleep. It just changes party affiliation.
I looked at their facebook page and I didn’t see it. Thanks.
Did you see the article about the three "women" (I've not seen the picture), who are "married" and are having a baby? WTF? Really?
I looked for a vid of this *speech* and couldn’t find one, either. That was a red flag (is that racist?!) to me, too.
Maybe one will turn up. (Just like the person spitting on the black congressman during the 0Care “passage” celebratory walk.)

They should have known better if they had already been concerned about false statements.
He’s an honest man; they took advantage of him. I would like to know if they presented him with NYT credentials or sent in a 3rd-party under false pretenses.
The family would do well to consult with a media expert before addressing this now. Best not to say anything until they say the ‘right’ thing. They can reverse the demagoguery, but only carefully without feeding the fire lit/fanned by the left...
Have you listened to the recording? I reviewed a few sections of it but didn’t find those statements reportedly made by Bundy. What I guess I could do is turn it on while I’m typing up some if my reports and listen to it. Or better yet find the reporter and ask him to furnish the tape or put it online.
Just saw post #161 with the vid. Listening to the entire vid sounds a lot different to how his comments are being played in the MSM.
It’s there more than once now. But this is the one I found first
"I'm shocked the MSM would do that," said no one, ever.
Mr. Bundy’s comparison appeared to be triggered when he drove by the welfare family, but he didn’t just talk about them.
Mr. Bundy: “I want to tell you one more thing I know about the Negro.”
He prefaced the comment with a statement about “the Negro,” meaning the entire race. I actually doubt he was talking about all blacks, but he used words to that effect. Who knows? Maybe he really is a racist and thinks all blacks are inferior, but I don’t think his comments imply that.
I think his point was clear. Welfare dependency creates its own set of problems different from slavery. That doesn’t mean slavery is better. It means both slavery and welfare dependency are bad. Trying to decide which is better is like trying to decide whether it’s better to be murdered by a knife or a gun.
“...Maybe you should run for office?...”
Ha... I’d be in the news within a week’s time for caning the opposition, like that Senator did way back, just before the Civil War. I’d be more of a liability than anything because I would not be able to keep my contempt under control.
No, I do my work by teaching people to safely carry, handle, and shoot firearms, and by educating them on their rights as Citizens - and who the real enemy is... I can do far more damage to the left and their subversion that way.
Every Citizen we create is one less they can indoctrinate and turn into a drone.
And there are MILLIONS of us.
Adam Nagourney is as much a government sniper as any BLM pretend soldier in a ghillie suit hiding out on the ridges above Bundy’s ranch in the desert.
“...The family would do well to consult with a media expert before addressing this now...”
Absolutely agree. They’re “famous’ now, one way or the other, so they should do whatever they can to minimize the damage that the left will try to inflict.
“..I would like to know if they presented him with NYT credentials or sent in a 3rd-party under false pretenses...”
Good point.
Even if there is a recording, the fact would remain that Adma Nagourney is nothing but a paid government sniper who wears "journalist" camouflage.
