After Bundy's overtly racist remarks, let's see how far politicians run away from him.
The New York Times has overheard Cliven Bundythe Nevada rancher who, instead of paying decades of overdue grazing fees, met the Bureau of Land management with guns and a small militiasaying this:
"I want to tell you one more thing I know about the Negro," he said. Mr. Bundy recalled driving past a public-housing project in North Las Vegas, "and in front of that government house the door was usually open and the older people and the kids and there is always at least a half a dozen people sitting on the porch they didn't have nothing to do. They didn't have nothing for their kids to do. They didn't have nothing for their young girls to do.
"And because they were basically on government subsidy, so now what do they do?" he asked. "They abort their young children, they put their young men in jail, because they never learned how to pick cotton. And I've often wondered, are they better off as slaves, picking cotton and having a family life and doing things, or are they better off under government subsidy? They didn't get no more freedom. They got less freedom."
Expect every politician to back away from the issue.
"His remarks on race are offensive and I wholeheartedly disagree with him," Sen. Rand Paul said in a statement Thursday morning.

Ummm...there will be no statement of denial from the Bundy family.
I was browsing their Facebook page for statements on this and found this

Taken just a bit out of context for the whole video, but there nonetheless.
Even if he did say it, he’s entitled to his opinion. That’s a First Amendment Right, right there.
It changes nothing. And for anyone to “keep a distance” is just ridiculous - it’s what the other side wants, so they can isolate and destroy the guy.
Sunshine Patriots and fair-weather friends will run from him. Those who recognize the bigger picture will not.
Any politician that runs from him is a gutless coward, and should not be trusted. They’d do the same to you in a heartbeat, should become the cause celebre at some time in the future.
Personally, it smells like a setup to me. It IS the NYT after all.
He didn't say it. Adam Nagourney, NYTimes sodomite and Lefty hack "journalist", said it.
You're responding to the Lefty Racism dog whistle.
The point is, he (allegedly) said black people abort their babies and are in jail BECAUSE they never learned to pick cotton.
There’s nothing more to be said than that to explain it’s racial overtones. You may interpret it as you have, but it’s also perfectly reasonable to interpret it as saying, “black people were too stupid to pick cotton, to earn a decent living for themselves, so now they turn to crime to do so and abort babies that cost too much”.
That’s another, perfectly valid interpretation of the phrase in question and it’s racist.
And I’m sure that Tommy Henderson, the rancher in Texas land dispute, is preparing his racist remarks to be delivered to the NYT as I write this. Oh wait, he is from Texas, so that makes him a racist right there!
Of course he does but unfortunately he is never held accountable for his words.
To be clear on my posting of that vid link, I’m just clarifying that the quote is factual.
Disappointed, I am. Out of context or not, this will be viral in hours.
Great. The left wins, again, because of our own stupidity.
BTTT, I’m right there with you Dawg brother!
Are you nut? My post was a quote, not something I wrote. What part of that do you not understand?
lot of white guilt and shame amongst supposed conservatives.
This was about a post I made that was ENTIRELY A QUOTE from an article!
So now quoting an article considered taking sides on an issue! Who is throwing who overboard?
The Left will use this same tactic against every GOP presidential candidate we have. The Left will once again pick our candidate.
The Left have proven they control acceptable speech in this nation. We are the minority now. We will not get our nation back.
I am not much more impressed with Cliven Bundy’s world views than I was with David Koresh’s spirituality.
The signal point to me is that in the face of terrorist levels of police brutality, POLICY terrorism, he and his took a stand. Many in the nation were inspired by that stand and helped stare tyranny down for the first time since the federal murders at Ruby Ridge.
THAT is what matters.
Bundy’s racism does not threaten anyone. Federal terrorism threatens us all.
In his next interview, Bundy plans to share his unique views on rape and female physiology.
I’m surprised the journalist didn’t ask him his thoughts on gay marriage.
How is what he said “Racism”? Because he used the term Negro? MLK’s preferred term was “Negro”.
Commenting on the evils of the modern welfare State is not “Racist” no matter how much the MSM wants it to be.
If they don’t have a tape recording do you really think the NYTimes would lie? LOL
Okay. I have a question, why was Bundy even talking to this guy? If he wasn’t being interviewed by this reporter he better get out and start screaming as loud as he can now.
