Businessman Curt Clawson won the Republican nomination for U.S. House in Florida's 19th district Tuesday, a giant step toward becoming a member of Congress in the heavily conservative district. Clawson, who loaned his campaign nearly $2.7 million of his own money through early April, defeated three other candidates in a special primary election: State Senate Majority Leader Lizbeth Benacquisto, businessman Michael Dreikorn and former state representative Paige Kreegel.

In any case, you rarely know whether you can trust a politician until they are in office. Let’s hope he turns out to be a true conservative.

Clawson has Rand Paul’s endorsement, which is huge.
So does Mitch McConnell.
And a certified Sabateur on top of that!
i wonder if Palin did her homework before endorsing Lizbeth Buttafucio. she found out too late about Lizbeth’s skeletons.
The only positive thing is that Mack didn’t come back to get it. Damnable open borders termite. His endorsing Clawson is why I’d have voted for Benacquisto.

Probably the same groups who whine about Rubio "betrayed" them. Honestly, they deserve these RINOs given the way they continue to blindly support whichever candidate screams "TEA PARTY!!!" the loudest at their announcement speech. You can't fix stupid.
Benaquisto’s support of common core is a deal breaker, I’m sorry.
I trust him,at least he is a business owner,and regarding her ads,god,all they were based on the negatives on Curt and the other three,yet,you never saw a Lizbeth ad filling us in on any of her major accomplishments.aka,she had nothing to offer.

well,another setback for her was her size.when I saw her ads,she looked about 5”1 or 5”2,and very slim,she had to wear a blazer to make her look bigger.Then again,being a female didn’t help much either,but if she was as attractive as our State Attorney(a hot blonde indeed),her chances would of improved.Overall,she just came off as weak.And Floridians dont want that,we have enough weaklings already in the White House.

Connie Mack III, the smug privileged backstabbing RINO establishment politician who just blew a winnable Senate race. FL Tea Party groups who also endorsed Marco Rubio the moment he announced his candidacy and told them what they wanted to hear. Rand Paul, another self-appointed "Tea Party" savior who has now betrayed us on amnesty & Chuck Hagel, called on the GOP to be more "inclusive" on social issues, and sucked up to Mitt Romney and Mitch McConnell during their primary campaigns
All excellent reasons why conservatives should have voted for Lizbeth Benacquisto, IMO.
