Call it what you like. It’s still a thinly disguised attempt at celebrating Vladimir Lenin’s birthday.
.........Vladamir Lenin’s birthday...............
America is entering an era of neo pagan decadence. The high priest is Obama.
All Manner Of Creeping Things......
That “service” will be held in D.C. No?
Not a fan of Earth day (every day is Earth day IMHO), but Easter tops the list for Pagan celebrations buy far with all its spring renewal and fertility symbols.
For since the creation of the world Gods invisible qualitieshis eternal power and divine naturehave been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse. Romans 1:20 NIV
Hmm, I am debating if I should raise my house temp to 80 then use the ac to lower it to 60.....
But them Obama said my energy proces would nessisarrily go up./
They won’t because the author of this piece has it half right. They don’t want to worship the creator....or anything else. I don’t know if it’s more the holy day of paganism as much that of atheism. The true nature worshipers are mostly gone. These people don’t believe in much of anything except what they want, and will use any excuse like the environment or no excuse if they can get away with it, to take what they want.
We are living in the days of Noah. Everyone doing what is right in their own eyes. Even satanists like Anton LaVey have told us all along. They don’t believe in a literal devil or god or anything else...do what thou wilt is the whole of their law. In modern times, what they “wilt” do is redistribute income
Let us never forget that Earth day was started by a guy who killed his girlfriend and carried her body around in a trunk for years.
There is a part of the human psyche that quite literally requires a “God.” If you decide to reject traditional religion, you don’t just go about your day - your mind will “fill that slot” with a “God” - any God.
This is why we see so many mis-guided and fanatical environmentalists who treat their hobby as if it were a religious experience.
In the south we are really connected to the land, but we reject the radical environmental movement (as it is). It’s because our slot is properly filled already.
I am re-reading a riveting book by Bill Wiese called 23 Minutes in Hell. This man had what can be characterized as a vision, and it is not for the faint of heart. Very sobering and a good re-energizer for anyone engaged in personal evangelism.
Got to go now. Got to light an earth day candle, I think a truck tire ought to do.
I read the whole article and...forgive me...but it just sounded like a rant to me.
Understand me, please...God DID tell us to be stewards of the earth (small ‘e’) and to take care of it (Genesis 1:28). He most certainly didn’t tell us to worship it.
I don’t participate in “Earth Day” activities since there are plenty of other things...useful things...out there to do. But...I do believe we as followers of Christ should do what we can to take care of this wonderful world God has given us. Not by going overboard and freaking out and trying to ban or destroy the works of modern civilization, but by taking intelligent and well thought-out actions to “pick up after ourselves”.
Every earth day I grab a shovel and dig a hole, just to show the earth who’s boss.
I’m sorry, Pagan Day has been cancelled due to severe wind, rain, hail, tornadoes, and lightning followed by floods, earthquakes, and volcanoes. Tomorrow is not looking too good either as falling stars from heaven, firery rain and hail, darkness, polluted oceans, forest fires, and disappearing mountains are forecast. Sorry to interrupt your party - GOD
Earth Day is a holiday for under 25 female kindergarten and elementary school teachers.
Offer them Kool-Aid I’m sure many would chip in.
