WASHINGTON (AP) — The Associated Press has learned that Homeland Security Secretary Jeh (Jay) Johnson is considering limiting deportations of immigrants living in the U.S. illegally but without serious criminal records. On President Barack Obama's orders, Johnson is conducting a politically charged review of U.S. deportation policy.

The potential change could shield tens of thousands of immigrants now removed each year solely because of repeated immigration violations, such as re-entering the country after being deported. The change would fall short of deportation curbs demanded by activists frustrated by congressional inaction on immigration legislation.

The possible move was confirmed by two people with knowledge of Johnson's review:

Get used to it, there will never be another revolution in the soft America that we have turned into. I am waiting for the day the national clown wakes up and issues an executive order granting asylum to 30 million invaders. AND don't tell me they are not criminals - most of them have committed one crime or another - e.g. using a stolen ID.

Once these illegal aliens have achieved legal status like the dreamers currently can seek jobs and demand drivers licenses under clowns directives to ICE, DHS, and DOJ to stand down (many states are now issuing drivers licenses but AZ still denies them) the cry from the bleeding heart liberal and RINOS will be that it is inhumane to give them legal status and not allow them citizenship and the right to vote. They will be at the court house door 15 seconds after that EO is issued by the clown. Remember a driver's license is one centimeter away from voting and in some states is all they need to vote.

In some ways would it be worse to slowly decline rather than a quick outright collapse? Or would a fast collapse be better as more people would still have fresh in ther minds the concept of freedom?

I sometimes wonder if Conservatives should go “on strike” and just hand ALL the keys over to other side and say “Here you run it all for a while, you have 10 years”.

Sadly if we did that we would all be in camps before the 10 years were up....

In a way you could say the last five years have been exactly that experiment because we certainly do not have an OPPOSITION party seated in the House.
