Both WWI and WWII both started under lesser situations than what Russia is doing, so it’s not really alarmist or an exaggeration. Either we allow Russia to expand without consequence, which potentially may include all of Europe because that is what the Communists wanted or, at some point, we are going to have to say, “No more”.

WWIII? Oh, it's coming. But as the guy in the movie Gladiator said, "But not yet."

After Drudge went all-in for Mitt, I learned to cast a slightly skeptical eye toward his work. HOWEVER,,let me say

UNEQUIVOCALLY

I’d believe a Drudge report over any other report every single day of the week, 24/7.

Drudge, too, has his preferences. It’s all good. Gotta take it for what it is.

Nope. It’s the EU that’s pushing us to war by continued expansion to the East. Russia is saying no and the EU wants us to muscle them, economically and militarily.

No worries, Obama is sending our troops to Nevada to save some turtles being stepped on by cows and ranchers.

Russia will have to wait.

Perhaps Drudge is just echoing what many Freepers and others have been claiming for some time now....

This could very well be how it all starts.

Maybe so - maybe no. Just don’t shoot the messenger.

The Pax American is ending.

The godless leaders of a thousand worldwide tyrannies will try to prop up their failed economic systems with value taken by force from their weaker neighbors.

In time, regional conflicts will escalate and major combatants will choose sides.

And the world will be plunged into major war.

History teaches that it has always been this way.

We have been at war with Russia/Communism since the early 1950's. It's continued and is continuing with flashes of open warfare, proxy warfare and the destruction of our country's way of life and rule of law.

He's just being a reporter and reporting what is happening.

The fascists and communists hate each other, but it’s not necessarily over ideology, per se. They are all Godless totalitarians lusting for power and control over people and economies. They hate each other because they are competing predators against liberty, free people, free society, free enterprise.

Yep. There was a thread on FR a couple of weeks ago on the reenactment of the Stalingrad battle. I recall saying at the time that it was not authentic because people in it were clean and smiling... BTT

In the interest of clarity, it should be noted that the “WWIII” headline came from the title of the Daily Mail article linked to the headline and not from Drudge.

I’ll take “Nazi Banderistas” vs Soviet Leninists any day of the week. Is Ukraine trying to annex Russia? Does Ukraine have the ability or any historical record of trying to conquer the world? Not to my knowledge. In act, it’s spent centuries trying to become independent of Russia. Russia, on the other hand, exists to conquer the world.

Some seem to be hot for a war with Russia over what appears to be quickly becoming a Ukrainian civil war.

Personally I have to question the sanity of anyone who wants to get involved in that mess and wanting to get involved in that mess with our current government compounds it about one thousand fold.

There is no way Obama will allow any U.S. involvement in any wars that would distract him from his golf time and vacations.

I just don’t see him supporting any foreign military action ever, under any circumstances, even if we are attacked in some fashion. And Putin knows this full well.

Drudge is right. Putin is putting together the old Soviet Union. Recently Russia announced it has the right to intervene militarily anywhere in the old USSR where there are Russian speakers:

Moscow ... has also announced its right to intervene militarily across the former Soviet Union to protect Russian speakers, a new doctrine that has overturned decades of post-Cold War diplomacy.
