Warning follows threat from Harry Reid that grazing dispute 'not over'
The chief of the Constitutional Sheriffs and Peace Officers Association says his sources inside the federal government are warning that Washingtons weekend retreat in a dispute over grazing land in Nevada was just to distract and defuse because a raid on the familys ranch still is being strategized.
And there probably would be violence involved, said Richard Mack, the former sheriff of Grisham County, Ariz.
I dont think it would be possible to launch a raid without violence, he told WND Monday. I dont the Bundys would lie down and be taken.
He cited the threat from Sen. Harry Reid, D-Nev., that the confrontation was far from over, despite the weekends retreat by armed gunmen working for federal agencies.
Reid on Monday told KRNV-TV in Reno. Its not over. We cant have an American people that violate the law and then just walk away from it. So its not over.

Soap box, ballot box, jury box, cartridge box. Harry and his figure they have the first three covered. And the fourth they can leave to the thugs. That has been the fatal mistake of despots throughout history.
I am, frankly, and it's probably a character fault, but I am little interested in the legalistic wrinkles of who gets to charge whom money for existing. I am very interested in the nature of uncontrolled force set loose in order to protect the interests of a ruling class. I've never met Mr. Bundy but I've met his enemies, and only the latter mean me harm.
you either don’t get it or are uninformed or just plainly a plant
Hyperbole doesn’t become you. I’m a FReeper because I believe in our cause. I’m a thinker because I want to see it succeed. Emoting is the realm of liberalism. Contemplation of conservatism. Which do you choose?
Would it be wrong, not just in this case, not just with Cliven Bundy, but in general, to gather as many victims of government abuse as possible? Would it hurt our cause to gather a large cross section of people who are harmed by government?
If Cliven Bundy (kook or not) were one of ten thousand victims wouldn’t it promote our cause even better? Wouldn’t it be great to have other rural victims and mix them with suburban victims and then urban victims of government abuse? Wouldn’t it just help solidify in the minds of the American voters that the problem is government?
We have a beautiful opportunity to win big this fall. Why not gather more examples and not just one? This isn’t an isolated case is it?
Think. Ill Annoy. Crook County. Smelly Onion = Indian word.
Where do I live?

IIRC, these “fees for grazing” were actually fees for the service of the BLM in adjudicating disputes. The term “fees for grazing” seems to be a misleading attempt to disguise the nature of the deal to begin with. The feds through semantics have essentially attempted to alter the nature of the relationship.
However, if the ranchers wanted to withdraw from using this mediation service, shouldn't they have that right? And what disagreements between ranchers are they mediating now? None. He's the last one standing.
Now the initial court cases may not have gone Bundy’s way, but that doesn't mean the finding was correct, especially with the current batch of judges and the corruption of the judicial system.
Now, the BLM says they'll pursue it in court. Well Hecky Durn, ain't that what they should have done to begin with? It almost seems like they just decided that they were tired of not getting their way, and they were just gonna bully their way through to what they wanted sooner rather than later.
Lots of stuff to consider here. It ain't as simple as well he's breaking the law. Until the Supreme Court says otherwise, it appears to be Fedzilla who is really bending/breaking the law.
That’s the most Progressive thing I’ve read on FR today.
upper US
Very good point!
Thank you for “edumacating” me.
If we the people all took your stand ,we’d all be kneeling to king george.
Not applicable at all because we have representation. Do you think the majority of Americans will vote to allow a rancher to push cows onto public land without paying for the right? Bundy fattens the cows without paying for the graze for his own profit.
If there was another rancher willing to pay the grazing rights and follow the law - why should he not have the opportunity because Bundy decided he did not want to pay? The other guy would pay the market value - Bundy did not.
Bundy is in the right- about 90+ percent of us on FR support him. We don’t need more of your preaching.
With respect, that representation is Harry Reid.

Your hopeless ,
I'll translate for you.
you either dont get it Translation: I cannot think my way out of a paperbag, so you must not understand the subject.
[you] are uninformed
Translation: I don't have any thoughtful responses based on fact, so you must be ignorant.
[you are] just plainly a plant
This is a tough one. Translation A: You cannot be human if you disagree with me therefore you are a plant (or possibly a mineral)
Translation B: You spend hours posting thoughtful conservative commentary that undermines and directly destroys liberalism. It makes so much sense, but doesn't satisfy my emotional needs to throw a tantrum and break things, so you must be a liberal mole sent to upset me.
How did I do?
you don’t get it he was squeezed and told to reduce his herd from 900 to 150 because of the
Reid turtle, which is not enough to support his ranch.
Govt comes in and says you can keep your job and keep paying taxes but you can only work so many hours a week or earn so much money what happened to you? Bankrupt.
Bundy offered to pay the state. You need to read up on this.
Burn it to the ground and rebuild.
Kill as many as need killed.
Fezilla states the cows are trespassing, then they round them up and are causing some of the cows death, and are prepared to shoot not only cows, but Bundy, his family and all the men women and children there showing support.
Seems to be a mighty big penalty for a little trespassing, and a lot of poor judgment shown in the actions taken so far by BLM(Bureaucrat’s Less Minds.
Brown opted to write his own history, Bundy and co. are opting to write their own history. Winning public opinion polls isn’t the same thing.
Being in business since 1876 and then having the Feds tell you that you have to cut your herd by 5/6ths because some egg-head has concluded that you’ve been doing it wrong for the past 120 years is a good enough reason to tell the Feds to shove it. There seem to be a couple of different legal ways to argue that they should shove it—but the conclusion is clear. If the other ranchers want to try operating with real small herds, it’s their funeral.
