Conservatism: The Best Choice a Gay Person Can Make
American Thinker ^ | 04/12/2014 | Chad Felix Greene

According to a an article by CNN Money on a 2012 survey conducted in consensus with studies by the Census Bureau and Experian (2012, 2013), gays make more money than their straight counterparts.  They also have less debt, higher education, and more equity in their homes.  Gays also have a slightly lower unemployment rate in comparison to the nation as a whole.  According to liberal standards, with an average of $61,500 for gays against the straight average income of $50,054, straight persons makes $0.81 per every dollar a gay person makes.

Gallup, however, found that when interviewed, gays report having less income and less education, and report being less satisfied with their standard of living and economic possibilities than their straight counterparts.  The Gallup survey notes imply that this is due to lack of “equality” in marriage, employment discrimination, and other factors burdening gay Americans.

The CNN article, and a corresponding article by Slate on the subject, both state that the reason for the improved financial stability is due to discrimination against gays, which causes them to be insecure about their financial futures and therefore work harder toward better education, better jobs, better money management, and debt-balancing.  By reasoning, being denied “social safety net” seems to dramatically improve financial security and independence.

Ironically, gay Americans seem to agree with conservatives here, considering that this is precisely the position conservatives take on financial and social independence.  Without government interference, individuals have the capability of growing their skill set based solely on their own will and motivation, building businesses and careers, and managing their finances more strategically.  This level of independence and personal responsibility makes anti-discrimination laws and regulations irrelevant as the individual acts on his own to insure his property, wealth, and career.

I cringe whenever I see a conservative use the term ‘GAY.” Once they control the language, they control the whole conversation. I use people with same sex attraction. It’s awkward but accurate.

It will be curious if their “Higher education” can figure this out.

They don’t have kids for the most part which is what usually gets folks into debt.

They may make more money than us but they are distinctly unhealthier than straights and die, on average, much younger. Yes, they live behind a prettier house.

I still use the term homosexual. From what I hear, the term homosexual is falling into disuse, and is expected to be archaic, as is the term Negro when referring to black people.

The homosexuals co-opted the word gay. For a time, gay had a double meaning, but now gay means only homosexual. Nobody uses gay according to the dictionary definition anymore, precisely because it’s been co-opted.

I did once meet a homo who was pretty much conservative on everything but that issue. Still disagreed with his lifestyle though.

Riddle me this, Batman...

What F***ING business is it of the U.S. Census Bureau, or a CREDIT RATING AGENCY, like Experian, to collect data on the sexual proclivities of people. Your sexuality or perversion has NOTHING to do with Constitutionally required enumeration, OR getting a mortgage.

More cr@p from the same "consultants" that guaranteed Milt Romney lost a campaign that was almost impossible not to win.

Homosexuality, sexual deviancy, is not a conservative value.

I believe that homosexuals themselves invented the word over a century ago in Europe.

I believe you are right about the origin of the word homosexual. But then, things changed, and the homosexual community decided to use the word gay.

Why did they choose gay? Did they want people to think that they are the dictionary definition, meaning that homosexuals are happy and carefree????

I still use the term fag. It too had a double meaning, but now it mostly just means fag.

As one study recently pegged the general average income as $35k or lower, I asked on one thread why am I surrounded (in Irving/DFW) by never-ending development of town homes “from the high $300 thousands”?

Oaklawn (the “gay”area) is next to Turtle Creek and Highland Park in Dallas. Lots of wealth there, gay and straight. For every rich homosexual in their high rise, though, there are a bunch of average-to-lower income ones around the same areas, living in older apartments.

Single people are generally assumed to be richer by burdened couples. Grass is greener syndrome. Truth is most couples, with their combined incomes, live at a higher standard since “two is better than one”. The single person must pay for everything, including help that a spouse might provide. There is loneliness and deprived sexual fulfillment (if one fornicates, the loneliness of that way; if one doesn’t, the loneliness of that). Of course, many married people are rebellious and thus lonely sexually, too (they “deprive” their mates).

As far as I’m concerned, all of life is a failure outside of Christ (no matter how good it “looks”). The man who has not Him?: “...even what he thinks he has will be taken from him.”

Where does it say that gay people co-opted the word “gay” for themselves? It could have been put upon them, along with words like “fag” etc. Just saying, I don’t know that they actually hijacked the word for themselves. The rainbow as a symbol of gay pride on the other hand....

And the word “gay” is still very much a derogatory term in many respects. “That’s so gay” is common derogatory expression used, especially by younger people.

As one who enjoyed God's Blessings during a 40+ year gay marriage to my lovely wife, whom I met while we both were at a Christian college, I'm outraged that the homosexual lobby has co-opted a perfectly fine word. My wife has since passed but I know that she's with the Lord. I remember the day when "...don we now our gay apparel" didn't cause smirks when "Deck the Halls" was sung.

The homosexuals have ruined so much of the America I remember from the 1950s. Back then, we called them deviants and sodomites. Those are the proper terms and what I still use to characterize them. As I see it, those miserable, twisted creatures are anything but gay.
